Well worth buying the season pass than the day pass, lots to do, lots to see, can’t complete in a day, really reasonably priced season tickets, love the new restaurant, Paddington Bear, kids prices are amazing for what you get. Animals, scenery, play areas, it has everything, even when it’s raining they have an indoor play area so kids can wear themselves out.

De Zonnegloed Sanctuary

Reviewed By 323kristofv - Ghent, Belgium

De Zonnegloed is such a beautiful project where you can easily spend half a day visiting all the animals and reading their personal stories. This sanctuary is not funded by the government, so a huge amount of respect for the work these people have done and are still doing.

Antwerp Zoo (Dierentuin)

Large, well-defined zoo which houses a variety of species from giraffes to fish.

Reviewed By kmok1994 - Reims, France

As an employee at a zoo, I have had many different experiences traveling around the world seeing different zoos and learning about how they operate. Without a doubt, the Antwerp Zoo is one of the most beautiful and well-done zoos I have been to. The mix of historic enclosures with modern zoo-keeping techniques is wonderful and the circular sense of the visit makes it quite the unique zoo (especially with its location right next to the central train station). I would recommend this zoo for all ages. Kids and adults alike will love the diverse animals and the gorgeous gardens on the property. Don't miss the koalas!!

ZOO Serpentarium

Reviewed By moonlitte - Hexham, United Kingdom

Had a really enjoyable 90 minutes at this attraction! I was very pleased to see such a variety in different reptiles and amphibians, including venemous snakes like the black mamba and arachnids. Signs were informative and had translations. The reptiles are kept in very good conditions and vivariums are clean and very well presented. I’m not sure why so many people are complaining about tank size, for the requirements of the individual species they have more then enough space! Would defiantly recommend if you’re into animals. Though I will warn anyone who suffers from claustrophobia or anxiety that it may be worth visiting out of holiday seasons, as it can get a bit crowded and noisy in there.

Bellewaerde

Bellewaerde - that's three trips in one day! Where can you go for a fun day out for the whole family? Bellewaerde, of course! Enjoy thrilling rides, marvel at exotic animals and relax in stunningly beautiful surroundings: Bellewaerde has it all!

Reviewed By hamoomoo19 - Whalton, United Kingdom

We first visited in 2015 and were so impressed with Bellewaerde that it became our favourite theme park we'd visited to date. A second trip today three years later and we still feel the same way. The park is immaculate, the gardens and scenery are beautiful and it is a joy to walk round. The selection of animals they have alongside the rides always look happy and well looked after. The rides themselves are a unique selection that are not always found easily, such as the vekoma mad house (Houdini house), jungle mission and Huracan. Every ride is such fun and it is clear they are developing the park all the time- since our last visit they have built a new boardwalk across the lake and added a bird of prey display, a new ride Dawson Duel and are also building a water park next door due to open spring 2019. The staff we encountered were always very helpful and friendly. The app for the park is great- hight reccomend a download on busy days! We used it all day to keep track of ride waiting times which are accurate and also to see what we had missed. Even on the public holiday that we visited (may 11th) which was busy it was still totally manageable and we never waited more than half an hour for rides. In UK you would wait up to three hours for rides on busy weekends. They actually reached full capacity on this day and stopped guests from coming in which I think is a great idea for guest safety and comfort (and it still didn't feel crazy busy). Overall- Bellewaerde is a unique, beautiful, underrated park ten minutes drive outside Ieper town centre and you should not miss out!!!! (king lion is the best mascot ever)
