June 6, 2021 Franklyn Hardiman

Whether you're into history, culture, outdoor adventures or just in need of some new and unique scenery, Albuquerque offers exciting attractions for all ages and interests, anytime of the year. In the historic section of Old Town, ancient Indian and Spanish cultures come to life through old churches, quaint shops and piazzas, winding brick paths and adobe benches. Browsers can spend a whole day making their way through the more than 100 stores, boutiques and galleries that sell Southwestern goods as well as unique products from around the world. During the winter holiday season, Old Town is adorned with small lit candles and thousands come to stroll through the streets, listen to live music and celebrate. It is truly a sight to see. But the history doesn't stop there. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the Petroglyph National Monument offer a glimpse of old Indian customs and art. Families will find plenty to do at the Albuquerque Biological Park, which features a zoo, aquarium and botanic garden. Outdoor types will find ample opportunities for hiking, biking and golf. After working up an appetite, head to any number of fine restaurants that serve up a choice of hot or even hotter New Mexican cuisine. To top it all off, take a ride on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway for spectacular views of all this vibrant city has to offer.

Tait is the BEST athletic trainer EVER! My daughter injured her knee in February and due to COVID we could not get her the help she needed sooner.... Tait assessed the situation, worked on her and totally fixed her! She was lunging by the end of the session. I bought her a star wrap and he sent her home with Strengthening exercises to do at home. My daughter’ exact words when we left: “ I went in there feeling like an elderly woman and came out feeling brand new like a teenager again” We are so thankful for Tait and we will be back in a month!

Best spa in ABQ - hands down. This was our second visit to The Remedy & I cant wait to go back. We scheduled couples massage on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived about an 90 minutes early so we could have a soak in the hot tub. You are greeted right away at the door and checked in and given our locker keys and offered sandals if needed. We then headed to the changing rooms where our assigned lockers have a nice plush robe and towel waiting. After changing, we grabbed some water from the beverage station in the waiting/relaxation room, (where they also have a nice selection of hot tea and snack mix) and then we headed out to the beautiful outdoor area that houses the hot tub and sauna. There was about 5 other people & that’s about the max that you would want or it would be too crowded. We hopped in the hot tub and had a nice long soak and tried out the sauna (dry) for a bit. It’s amazing how relaxing it is even though you’re in the middle of the city. The plunge pool appeared to be closed off, but that was fine by me. The only con I could see is that there are only 3 chairs in the area so we had to put our stuff on the planter area, but not a huge deal. After our soak we changed we went back to then relaxation area to wait for out massage. We were greeted by our therapists (I had Victoria) and they took us back to the room. We were offered to smell three essential oil scents and got to pick the one of our preference. Our massage included hot stones and towels, but we were offered upgrades (I opted to try CBD lotion) but we didn’t feel pressured. The massages were great and very relaxing. They make liberal use of the oils and hot towels. The hot stones are a great addition as well. When it was over & we came out we were greeted in the hall by them and cups of cold water. The locker rooms are well appointed with everything you could need to make yourself presentable: lotion, mouthwash, combs, hair dryer, plastic bags for wet suits. In the lobby, they have a great array of organic products available to purchase. Everything about the visit was perfect from start to finish. It was exactly what We needed to rejuvenate after the holidays and I can’t wait for my next visit.
