Vineyard with windmill and trail for visitors to follow - a warm welcome at Cellar Door - open on Wednesdays and Fridays - pre-booked tours and tastings from May to October.
Having visited one of the family’s three restaurants, the Shed, in London’s Notting-hill and enjoyed an excellent evening with charming staff and imaginative cuisine, we decided to also check out the vineyard. Set in tranquil and delightful countryside, Nutbourne is a little masterpiece created by hard work and, I suspect, boundless energy, which continues to expand its operations. After a very civilised stroll through the vines, we were given an excellent wine tasting tour through Nutbourne’s range of wines from their Nutty Brut ( an excellent sparkling wine ) to their crisp Chardonnay. We were accompanied by my American brother and his wife, who had taken us to Napa Valley, last year. Both excursions were thoroughly enjoyable ! Do try Nutbourne’s restaurants, wines and round it off with a visit to the vineyard.

A beautiful vineyard and winery in the South Downs National Park, West Sussex. We make still white, rosé and sparkling wines. We have special tours of the vineyard and winery given by the winemaker followed by a wine tasting in the winery, a Grade II listed Victorian barn, housing state of the art wine production equipment.
Had a weekend in wonderful West Sussex. Walked from Fittleworth to Stopham Vineyard for a wine tour and tasting. Toured the vineyard with fantastic views across the Downs, and then wandered over to the barns for a great overview of the wine making process, from Simon... and then the tasting! The day was rounded off with a lovely two course meal at The White Hart, overlooking the 13th century bridge. Back at home we are currently drinking a glass of Stopham Pinot - nice. Do this tour - buy the wine - you'll love it.

Visit our beautiful vineyards and brand new modern tasting room overlooking the vines open every day of the week. Come and enjoy a glass of bubbles in the sun after we show you around the vineyard.
Definitely the best sparklingly wine tasting experience we’ve had in England! Led by the owner, she gave a wonderful short tour of the vineyard and a highly entertaining and informative guided wine tasting set in the excellent new tasting room with spacious indoor and outdoor areas. The 3 sparkling wines on offer are excellent - definitely on a par with champagne. Also try the generous sharing cheese platter! All in all a well deserved 5 star experience

Albourne Estate is a family-owned boutique Sussex vineyard and winery overlooking the beautiful South Downs, just eight miles from Brighton. The Estate crafts small quantities of exciting and distinctive single estate sparkling, still and fortified English wines, using only our own carefully grown grapes. We are open most Saturdays from May to September for pre-booked Tours and Wine tastings.
I loved this experience: what a magical morning we had with some October blue skies.... we’re from the area but the South Downs and views across the vineyard were beautiful. Our tour host taught us a lot about the complexities of running such a british boutique vineyard and the tasting session was very enjoyable too :) Thanks Albourne for a great autumn morning!

Our family owned vineyard was established in 1972 and we produce award-winning red, white and sparkling English wine. We recently opened a new visitors centre with an enlarged cafe and retail shop and a fantastic viewing balcony overlooking 18 acres of vines. Why not come along and enjoy breakfast or lunch with friends and sample our wines? You can also book a guided tour & tasting (variety of dates and times available) or perhaps experience one of our popular wine masterclasses on a Saturday? We also run special events throughout the year, including fine-dining evenings and summer evening tours.
An excellent mix of walking through the vineyards, learning about their history and wine making and then fun tasting with buffet lunch to follow! Everyone friendly and the whole visit relaxed, would definitely recommend!

Highdown Vineyard is a venue for functions apart from this we are not open for visitors.
Our afternoon tea after a funeral at Worthing Crematorium was the high point of a sad day on a very wet afternoon. Family and friends all commented on how fresh and tasty the food was, especially the cakes and scones. Paul, the owner, was well versed in the COVID-19 restrictions and we were reassured by his knowledge and the measures in place for social distancing and hand hygiene . The venue is spacious inside and we had plenty of room to make sure people were comfortable. It was just a shame that awful weather prevented us from making use of the beautiful outside space. James and Beth who served us on the day were well organised, and accommodating. They worked hard keeping their guests supplied with food and drinks. They were also friendly and welcoming which was much appreciated. The added bonus was the Highdown Vineyard’s own white wine which was enjoyed by all. All in all it’s a super location, great food and excellent management and staff. I would definitely consider using Highdown Vineyard for a party or other celebration in the future.

Nestled in the heart of England’s rolling South Downs, the beautiful family-run Wiston Estate offers Vineyard & Winery Tours by appointment April to October. They begin with an informative walk through vineyard, then a visit to the winery with their traditional Coquard Press (unique to the UK), concluding with a tutored tasting of Wiston’s award-winning Sparkling wines overlooking the vines.
Excellent vineyard tour and tasting. We were treated to a short film and the history of the family and vineyard by the daughter in law of the family. We were then taken by tractor and trailor out to the winery where we had a tour, this was all very good as was the tasting.
