Warrabilla Wines is located in the historic Rutherglen wine region. Andrew and Carol Smith have built a reputation of producing formidable red wines of heroic proportions. A range of whites, reds and high quality fortifieds are on offer 7 days a week 10am - 5pm.
We had an excellent tasting at this winery with Robin taking us through a number of his wines. He was very down to earth and quite entertaining and I thought the wines were outstanding quality and value for money. In particular the Parola’s Limited Release Shiraz & Durif are worth trying while the Smithy’s Blend Cleanskins are also really good value. If you are visiting this region I would highly recommend that you have this winery on your itinerary.

What a nice place to visit. Great wines and great hospitality. One of the friendliest wineries we have been to, worth a visit

We were recommended by locals to come here for an arvo drink and platter and we can see why! our host was lovely (I assume he was the owner but wasn't 100% sure) we had a sample and ended up having a glass with his amazing idea of being able to build your own cheese platter! you grab a board and pick and choose from the fridge and just pay for what you like! it is such a great concept! bought a couple bottles to take with us back home which we are eager to open! great place!

Welcome to Campbells where 145 years of tradition, passion and experience all combine to capture the full flavours of Rutherglen. Our wines spring from the unique qualities of the Rutherglen Wine Region, five generations of knowledge and a dedication to innovation. We have a hands on approach and an uncompromising commitment to quality. Great wine takes time, so come and join us on a great journey and discover the secret of Campbells Wines.
That's the advice I was given - for taste, service and hospitality. We were warmly welcomed, invited to take a look around the cellar, and then offered a tasting. We were quite selective with what we wanted to taste, conscious that we couldn't actually taste everything on their extensive list. However, they are very happy to share their knowledge and passion, through the tasting experience and they worked with our preferences to guide us through the list. The wines were good and the fortifieds were lovely - it was very nice to be offered the full range of fortified wines, appreciating the differences was a nice experience. I wish we'd coincided our visit with lunch as the platters on offer looked very appealing. We thoroughly enjoyed this visit.

Scion is a producer of artisan wines, handcrafted from vine to bottle. Our vision is to produce premium wines guided by the creative and modern interpretation of traditional Rutherglen varietals. We grow and handcraft wines in small batches – from aromatic whites to elegant reds and delicate dessert wines. Located just 2km south of Rutherglen on our estate vineyard, Scion’s cellar door is nestled in the natural landscape among grey box gums. Visit to taste our focused range of artisan wines, or BYO picnic to enjoy with a glass overlooking the countryside and working winery. A sustainable future underscores our vision, from the use of solar power to run our winery and cellar door, to a small cluster of beehives enhancing biodiversity on our farm.
I didn't think how much time and effort goes in to producing a wine. We see the end result but having visited Scion Wine my wife and I experienced great wines and a great family story. Our host clearly displayed her passion for her wines and gave my wife and I detailed backgrounds on not only the wines we were tasting (which were all fantastic) but the history of the property, her partner who went from Graphic Design into wine-making. It is a small family operated winery but so much thought has gone into each and every wine they produce. That makes the taste experience so much more enjoyable! If you're looking for a totally different experience in wine's then Scion is the place to go. PS: They have a Electric vehicle charging station to boot and they go off the grid on Sunday's. Loved this experience! (There is a $10 pp wine tasting fee but free if you purchase 3 x bottles of wine per person - which we easily accomplished!)

Our visit was relaxed and enjoyable. We had a lovely chat with our server, enjoyed some delicious wines and walked away with a couple of delicious wines from the grapes grown on their vineyard.

Olive Hills Estate is a boutique winery, vineyard, cellar door and function centre.
First time at this winery for the Rutherglen Wine Festival. What an absolute gem of a place every member of the family made it their mission to welcome us and have a chat and make sure we were enjoying and had everything we needed. A beautiful place to have a wedding as well. Been doing the wine festival for over 10 years now and this place is top of our lost now. Can’t wait to see you all again at Olive Hill.

We're real people with real vineyards making real wines and serving real food in our restaurant. We are lucky to own one of the most beautiful little cellar doors and restaurants in Victoria, dating back to the 1860s. I'm Mandy Jones, a 5th generation winemaker, a modernist in my approach to handcrafting wines from grapes grown by my brother, Arthur. Our wines have power and brightness of fruit that could only be made from our very own patch of Rutherglen dirt. Jones Winery Restaurant is headed up by Chef Briony Bradford who's "nose to tail" approach to food has been influenced by working with 3 star Michelin chefs in the UK. Briony loves to push the flavour boundaries using classic French techniques with her own modern twist.
We walked to Jones from town, which was a few km's. After tasting some wines we bought a glass and sat in the lovely garden. Excellent wine and lovely ambience.

A small family winery specialising in hand made sparkling wines and full bodied reds. When you visit our Cellar door you will enter a fully operational winery, and will most likely be served by one of the winemakers - Howard or his daughter Christobelle.
Father and Daughter wine making team specialising in Sparkling Wines crafted in the Method Traditionelle way.The sparkling Shiraz and Durif are full of flavour and depth with great freshness. From the hand picking of fruit in the vine yard to the hand riddling of the bottles the wines are produced in the traditional method of old.Try their table wines as well, the 2010 Pinot Verdot was a standout.

This rustic cellar door in the backstreets of Rutherglen is housed in a collection of rusty corrugated buildings. We have no Muzac and our idea of mood lighting is when the fluro doesn't come on. In spite of this the readers of Gourmet Traveller WINE magazine voted this as Australia's Top Cellar Door,in June/July 2012. We look forward to welcoming you.
I have been to Chambers many times. This time due to COVID rules we had to sit down and taste the wine. It was really good. Our host, Vanetta was amazing! She was so friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We were not aware of the new rules for booking ahead with a large group but she just took it all in her stride when 15 of us arrived on our bikes! And politely suggested we let the other wineries know that we were coming. This made a big difference to our day. She also then dropped all our purchases off at the hotel. We all had such a lovely experience at Chambers and tasted many of the very good wines, thanks to Vanetta.
