If you are looking for an active place to stay with world-class attractions, Ohio’s major cities can satisfy any vacation desire. Each offers its own distinct flavor of fun, from professional sports – Bengals (Cincinnati), Cavaliers (Cleveland) and Indians (Cleveland again) – to museums, outdoor activities and more. One of the most famous is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. If football is your thing, don’t miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. For the science-minded, visit the meat eaters at the Carnivore Conservation Center in the Wilds near Cambridge, dedicated to the breeding and scientific study of endangered mid-sized carnivores. Kids will also love Planet Snoopy in Sandusky or the Columbus Zoo’s Zoombezi Bay Waterpark and Jack’s Landing rides.

While having a glass of wine (I chose Concord and my husband selected Blackberry), we relaxed at a table in the grass while people-watching and water-gazing. The wines were so delicious, we each had a second glass. They were a perfect midday adult treat for us before exploring more of Small Bass Island!

We celebrated a retirement with an overnight stay at the charming Casa and had an amazing time, took home wonderful memories and breathtaking pictures. We love this hidden gem and were extremely impressed with the first class treatment we received from the friendly staff, to the pristine rooms, the complimentary beverages and the delicious continental breakfast added to the fabulous experience. We strolled the stunning grounds, indulged in some fabulous food and delicious wine at both the Crush House and Bistro, played bocce and met some wonderful people throughout our visit and especially while relaxing outdoors by an evening fire. I cannot rave enough about our stay at Gervasi Vineyards! This place is a class act all the way! ????????❤️
