Chateau Zegaani is a wine estate built in 1820 by Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, a great political and cultural figure of the 19th century, as well as the founder of Georgian viticulture. The Chateau is located in Kakhetia, the main wine-producing region of Georgia. Today it is a great historic and architectural asset for studying the development of wine-making in the region and provides evidence of the significant French influence in the process. Alexander Garsevanovich Chavchavadze built the estate in the fashion of the majority of French wine chateaux of the early 19th century upon his return from France. This is precisely why the castle in Zegaani, Kakhetia, is also referred to as Chateau.

Chubini Wine Cellar is located in Village Shilda, at the foothills of Caucasus Mountain, with spectacular panorama view. with us you can taste wines fermented in Qvevri (big clay vessels buried in the ground),tradition which counts 8000 years. guests will be hosted personally by the owner, who will introduce history of Georgian wine making, local grapes and viticulture.

Winery Chelti Complex was founded in 2001, which is located in Kakheti region, village of Shilda, Kvareli district. From the very beginning, the company’s goal was to produce only the premium quality products. Therefore the company began to plant own vineyards which would have given the possibility to control the quality of grapes.

We produce 12,000-15,000 bottles of natural wines per year and our visitors have great chance to taste our wines with owner and winemaker.
