We welcome visitors to our cellar door, located at the winery in the heart of the Gimblett Gravels wine region. Here you can purchase from our full range of award winning wines and a wide selection is open for tasting. The moment you turn into the driveway and drive through the gates you know you are in for something special. Beautiful building with inside booths looking out over to Te Mata Peak or outside in the tranquil herb garden. We booked a tasting and sat outside. Tasting delicious and informative by friendly staff. We then went for a look around the grounds which are truely amazing - immaculately maintained and walking though the grape vines was memorising with the Hills as a backdrop, This is a must visit if you are visiting Hawkes Bay. Accommodation is also available here.

A must see for all visiting the area. As a travelling party of three we booked last minute for the following day at 11am. The tour was beyond expectations and Lauren our tour guide provided us with a personal, informative and professional tour of all aspects of wine making at the winery. Culminating in an excellent wine tasting experience. Lauren demonstrated great passion, knowledge and enthusiasm regarding the wines and we look forward to hearing about Lauren gaining the recognition she deserves in the wine making industry. The cured meat and cheese platter in the cafe is a must. Thank you for a great experience.

After I ordered a pizza on this very busy Sunday afternoon I sat at my table when Issac came over to ask what I was waiting on. It had been about a half hour & I mentioned this; on enquiring about single wine tastings being unavailable (was considering buying a bottle of syrah) he said for me he would attend to it. A generous sample arrived, plus after a short time he was back asking if all was okay. I salute you Issac, in NZ genuine & decent service is rare, because of you I shall recommend the Abbey to many others. Thank for your attention ☺️

We've been trying to cycle to all the Hawke's bay wineries and I don't know why we've left Dolce Vista for so long. Great little winery, excellent tasting, lovely to meet and talk with the wine maker. He's going to get his website back up and running soon but currently open at the weekends from 11:30 til 16:30.
