Just 8 miles west of Gettysburg, discover one of Pennsylvania's oldest wineries! Tours of our winemaking facilities, complimentary wine tastings, beautiful gardens, and lush vineyards make Adams County Winery a great destination to visit during your trip. Enjoy year round events and wood-fired cuisine from our Terrace Bistro (Bistro hours: Fri-Sun, May through October from 11am to 5pm). Our farm winery in Orrtanna (251 Peach Tree Road) and our Gettysburg Wine Shop in downtown Gettysburg (25 Chambersburg Street) are open 7 days a week.
My boyfriend and I stopped by this winery as part of our trip to Gettysburg, and it was well worth the trip. We weren't able to do a tasting, but we were able to buy by the glass and drink on the grounds. The winery grounds were beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful with selecting a wine to enjoy.

Off the path just a bit. Have wanted to visit this winery for a few years because of their info card in one of those stands at hotels with things to do. It said for wine emergency please call... How funny and inviting. We finally made it. Just the two of us with the wife of the owner. She was very helpful and was proud of the wines they do make. Did a three flight tasting. Cab Sauv and the dry Chambourcin were the faves and I took a chance on the blend of the two in Fire Side Red. It was an enjoyable visit. Small area outside with table and chairs if you wanted to have a bottle and enjoy the surroundings. I would return again if in the area.

We saw an acoustic band playing in the window so we stopped in for a glass of wine and some entertainment. It was packed but we got a table for 2. The manager was very friendly and we will be back for a wine tasting.

Boyers sells Great Shoals wines and ciders. The tasting room is spacious and the staff is incredibly friendly. They have a large selection of wines (21) and ciders (14). I haven't found one I don't like! Definitely worth stopping by. As a side note: the hedge maze is lots fun after spending some time in the tasting room...

Traveling in the midst of COVID hasn't been easy. We traveled to Gettysburg again and were very disappointed that several of the satellite wineries in downtown were not doing tasting of any sort, flights with food purchase. After being disappointed at several over Labor Day weekend we spied J&P's sign, it said tasting. We took a chance and it was a welcomed chance. Flight style tastings of your choice. Welcome to bring your own food or purchase cheese and crackers reasonably. Staff was incredibly welcoming and couldn't do enough for us or any of the other's who were visiting. Tables were spaced apart, cleaning, hand sanitizer available. Felt that it was a very safe environment. A couple of options as far as tasting and reasonable as well. Some very nice wines and the atmosphere was enjoyable, They will let you purchase, hold the wine for you if you are out and about walking the town and exploring and your car isn't near by. It was so nice to sit and enjoy something that we enjoy doing. I would highly recommend J&P and will return when we are in the area. When times are better we could easily spend a nice block of time there.
