In Vienna, the coffee house isn’t just a hangout: it’s an institution. Lingering over a newspaper with a pastry and a strong espresso drink is, according to UNESCO, officially a Viennese cultural pastime. Walk off your slice of Sachertorte with a self-guided tour of the city’s stunning traditional, Secessionist, and modern architecture, such as the Imperial Palace, the State Opera House, the Kirche am Steinhof, or the Kunsthistorisches Museum, an exercise in ornate geometry.

Lower Austria is the cradle of Austrian viticulture, so we want to take you to the beautiful forests & vineyards of the Thermal Region, just south of Vienna. Home to traditionally quaint wine villages and some unique local varietals, we showcase the finest in farm-to-table Austrian wine tours. We offer two different tours, depending on the season: In summer (Apr-Oct), we hike through forested trails and lush green vineyards, stopping en route for an open-air wine tasting and to appreciate beautifully expansive views over the Vienna basin to Hungary & Slovakia. We then continue to one of Austria's oldest wine villages for lunch & a winery visit. In winter (Nov-Mar), instead of hiking, we focus our attention on the past, present and future of Austrian wine by first visiting one of its oldest wine-making institutions dating back to 1141. We then meet one of the region's finest vintners for a wonderfully intimate wine tasting and Q&A to showcase all that the Thermal Region has to offer.
Inclusions: Wine tastings in vineyard and/or winery settings, Live tour commentary provided in English by native speaker, 12km guided forest & vineyard hike with trained first aider (summer)
Exclusions: Lunch
The guide was informative, relaxed and entertaining. The kayaks were easy to control. A good way to see Vienna differently. A great way to cool down on a hot summer day. The swim was very welcome. Other rivers were out of order due to high water levels but the Old Danube is a cut off lake and was not affected.

Our popular family-fun package includes a fun-filled day for the whole family. Vienna is an extremely kid-friendly city, and the options abound with what you can do with your little ones (and teenage ones!). We include up to 2 activities of your choice, a luxurious van to transport you to and from each activity, a licensed, private guide who accompanies you all day, and to finish the day, a wine tasting (led by our guide) at a local Austrian country tavern for the adults, where you can also try typical Austrian dishes where the real locals eat! The kids can either come along and have local apricot juice, or for an added fee, you can choose our hotel childcare package, where one of our American-trained licensed nannies comes straight to your hotel to watch your kiddos while you enjoy a night out on the town.
Inclusions: Private transportation, Bottled water, Wine tasting at a local Austrian country tavern, 2 activities of your choice
Exclusions: Gratuities, Meals for the day are not included
I loved walking down Vienna’s old cobble stone streets, and listening to Lisa’s scary stories often with unexpected endings. Spooky details based on historical cases. “If death were a person he/she would be Viennese”.

This tour will introduce you to some of Vienna's classic dishes. The walk through Vienna's historic first district leads to various Restaurants that offer authentic Viennese cuisine. Viennese native guides will lead you through the hidden byways of the old city. On the way we will stop at various establishments for food and refreshment. Experience not only the food but also Viennese wine, beer and Schnaps. Of course every place we visit also offers non-alcoholic alternatives. Mostly we will be visiting real "Beisls" where food is hearty and plenty. Fair warning: Viennese food tends to be on the heavy side. If you hope to lose weight while walking through the city, this tour is probably not for you. There will be no Schnitzel. We will be happy though to point out some good places if you are interested. The tour takes about three hours.
Inclusions: Dinner, Coffee and/or Tea, Alcoholic Beverages, Soda/Pop

The tour is both an historical tour and a wine tasting tour, due to an unique expertise: Mario, your guide, is in fact not only an Austrian certified tour guide but also a wine expert certified by the wine academy of Austria. This wine tasting was in a very cool wine cellar. There were only 5 of us so a nice size group for learning about the wines and enjoying each others company. I am not super knowledgable about wines in general so this was a great experience. This wine tasting was mostly about Viennesse wines so it was extremely valuable in helping us know what types of wines to order when we went out to eat. We had plenty of wine and a lovely cheese and bread platter. I highly recommend this wine tasting to anyone visiting Vienna.
