Set off with a visit to the covered food market for an introduction to the local culinary scene and a first tasting of salami including the one made with Barbera wine produced in the town of Nizza Monferrato. Then, take a look to the “Palio” square, the oldest horse race of Italy and to the church of Saint Secondo before indulging in a tasting of some of the finest cheese from the region. We continue through the Jewish ghetto, medieval towers and baroque churches all the way to a cozy butcher shop. Enjoy a break in a “gastronomia” which is a shop where home-cooking type of food is prepared daily by professional chefs: two traditional “antipasti” or starters with a glass of wine will be served. In a cozy restaurant where locals hang out, taste ravioli and “tajarin” (egg pasta) with a traditional sauce. Our tour comes to an end with a celebration of hazelnut and chocolate delights from a pastry shop.
Inclusions: Five food tastings, Local guide up to three hours, Small bottle of water and two glasses of wine
Exclusions: Gratuities, Transportation to/from Asti
The four of us booked this tour with Meet Piemonte. They sent us the addresses of the two wineries which we would have never found on our own and a list of things to see in the area. Gorgeous cellars, both owners where so personable and treated us like family. Lunch was a starter, ravioli and dessert, not a huge meal but enough to carry on until dinner and great pairing with the wines of the first winery. We had some time in between wineries so we went to one of the big benches they recommend us and we took photos and enjoy some sunshine. This region is stunning and we will come back.

Big shout out to Marco for being so knowledgable and informative. A great morning of walking in the woodland with Gianni and his dog Mac. Mac managed to sniff out three truffles that we were kindly given. Gianni was very happy to pass on his knowledge that has been passed throughout his family for generations. The black truffles went very well into a cheese fondu. We could had sat at the cellar all day during the wine tasting! Hope to be back in Alba again to test out Marcos food tour.

Visiting our winery, you will discover a producer with a very long history in wine making. The roots of this family date back many centuries when the Marchesi Incisa family settled in this land over a thousand years ago. Our ancestors were well know wine producers and the passion and knowledge is transferred from generation to generation. This long tradition is very much reflected in the beautifully restored building that hosts the winery and in the superb quality if the wines. This is a boutique winery you will fall in love with. We will host you at the winery and serve you a selection of three wines, tell you the history of one of the most well known wine producers in the region and the history of our terroir. Several of our wines have international ratings at outstanding level. We are particularly well known for our Barberas, our Grignolino and our Pinot Noir. Enjoy a uniquely classy experience.
Inclusions: Small tasting of wines from the winery, Typical snacks are bread sticks with some cheese and cold cuts or finger food, The cost of the wine tasting will be refunded if you purchase at least 6 bottles from the winery

Our family loves Piemonte for the food, wine, beauty and wonderful Italian hospitality. We discovered their wines in Singapore of all places and decided to visit and stay at the winery on one visit and have subsequently returned a few times to stock up on their delicious wines. We have young children whom enjoyed the cute guesthouse and the large safe internal courtyard whilst the adults tasted the wines with the owner family whom are so interesting and generous. They directed us to a few local restaurants which remain on our GOAT list years later. The St Emiliano red and Arneis white are our personal favourites though there is a lot of other choices. We can't wait to return
