Arlen knows the region through and through, and grew up with some of the winemakers in Istria. He knows the wine, always good for a story and never foregoes an opportunity for the winemakers to show of something new and different that may not even be for sale yet. This man and winetour is a gem, and if you have too good of a time and forget your bag at one of the wineries, he will deliver it back to you the following day, Free of charge. I'll come visit another time thats for sure! Best Nicklas E

When it's snowing in Istria in April, the best thing to do is go on a wine tour! This wine tour with Allen was certain MORE, more than we could have imagine and hoped for. We tested the most amazing wine, had the best olive oil, a fantastic seafood dinner and the best company. We learned so much about the area, the wineries, and how good olive oil is on chocolate cake. We could not recommend this tour highly enough and would tell anyone that listens to go to Istria and do this particular wine tour. Allen was so accommodating, knowledge and we had the best chats with him. The whole day felt like we were hanging out with a VIP friend who has all the hookups to local wineries. Crotia is a special place for us and we will be back again and again.....

The idea of half-day tour is to present wines from two different wineries for those who are limited with time. You will have opportunity to try fresh and aged wines made from indigenous grape varieties but also blends with international grape varieties. One winery is young, second one has long tradition but both wineries are among the best in Croatia with international recognition and international awards. During half day program you would have two professional wine tastings with an expert guide from each winery with rich, local snacks, you would visit wine cellars and experience the beauty of Istria. Transportation and guiding are included in price. I include only the best wineries and restaurants in my programs. Wine tastings in wineries are scheduled by special arrangement and you are not obligated to buy wines in wineries, only if you wish to.

Inclusions: Alcoholic Beverages, Air-conditioned vehicle, Snacks, All Fees and Taxes

Exclusions: Wines if you want to buy

We selected this wine tour based on its reputation. We had the most amazing experience of our entire month long trip. Agnieszka is an outstanding guide and conducted the most complete and informative tour we have ever had in Europe, and we have been traveling there yearly for over 40 years. It was a complete day of joy. Food and wine plus the many sights were the best and made better with Angie's commentary. Highly recommend her and this tour to all serious travelers. Myrna and Frank

We booked the half-day wine tour visiting Benvenuti in Kaldir and Matosević in Krunčići. Our guide Agnieszka picked us up in Rovinj at 9:30 and we spent the entire day together. She was very helpful and informative, sending information in advance over email and had great knowledge about the wines and vineyard culture once we arrived at each winemaker. It was great to spend the day with a local who was so passionate about wine and could suggest other wineries to go to on our own after the tour. The tour itself was very comprehensive and we enjoyed visiting 2 boutique family-run wineries. Each winery had multiple glasses of wine along with small snacks of cheese, meat, and olive oil. In between each visit we also stopped at scenic view points to take pictures of towns such as Motovun and Pazin. Agnieszka was helpful throughout the day answering questions. Even after our tour we kept in touch and she went above and beyond by helping us to figure out how to bring a few bottles of wine back home with us. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in wine and seeing the surrounding areas of Istria.
