Kwas is a small wine shop and bar in the centre of Huddersfield. Just hiding behind Tesco’s. A mere 300 metres walk from the train station. We’ve opened the doors in December 2018 to a world of natural wine, sourcing from independent wine makers, with a variety of surprising tastes. The atmosphere is fun and at Kwas we aim to give you a great experience. We offer a space to drink out, take in, share a bottle with friends or sample by the glass. Join the conversation or relax by yourself. This is our journey into the world of real wines and we’re learning along the way. Come share our passion about simplicity, joy and the fun in life. The shop offers an adaptable art space, with regular gigs, tasting events and more. The Uk’s first 100% vegan wine bar and shop, we are proud of our little establishment. We receive fresh organic sourdough delivered every Wednesday and Friday via our very good friends Triangle Bakehouse. We hope you enjoy the shop. Dunk and Ola x
What a gorgeous vision. Contemporary, bold, and friendly. Mainland European influences and lots of Huddersfield charm too. This cosy space is brilliant for friends and fun. What a lovely convivial space with lots of thought and effort put into creating something truly unique to the town. Gorgeous vegan wines with plenty of choice and an expert hand guiding you in your selection and pouring it for you too. Bring all your friends!

Both for popping in to pick up a bottle of great wine (and the ability to get advice about alternatives to the usual!) and the superb wine tasting evenings, OUAV is a brilliant place to go to. A great addition to Horsforth's Town Street!

The bar is in a grade 2 listed building dating to the 1860s & situated next to Halifax’s historic & grand town hall. We serve cask & keg beer & have been in the CAMRA good beer guide since opening in 2016. We also sell a huge range of spirits & a great selection of wine. We are the Parliamentary Pub of the Year for Yorkshire & Humberside in 2019 & the Halifax bar of the year 2018. In the summer we have 2 outside seating areas. We also the UK’s smallest music venue (18 capacity) & hold regular gigs, talks on social & cultural history, jazz night, spoken word, music quizzes & an open mic. We’re also joint founders of Halifax Festival of Words. Family friendly. We ain’t a restaurant, but we sell the best pork pies in town! Dog friendly
Really friendly welcome, great range of drinks including excellent real ale and lots of stuff happening - live music, quiz, talks.

Wow! Lovely interior with log burner and modern industrial decor mixed with old stone walls, bricks and wooden floor boards. Check out the room on your right as you enter - it's so comfortable. Great accessories as well as lovely cakes, coffee, snacks, sandwiches, soup, whiskies and staff....... Very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend. We honestly were spoilt for choice in Todmorden; lots of other places we want to try when we re visit but we will definitely come back to this one.

We were shocked after reading previous reviews. Visited July and the pub was wonderful. Lovely flower hanging baskets all over and wonderful beer garden. Its clearly had a full refurb as inside is so lovely, modern yet keeping its heritage. Bar staff were very friendly and range of ales (including Bradfield) was excellent. Will definitely return very soon. Local pubs like this need support to stay open.
