Think you need an ocean for a beach? Think again. There are miles and miles of sandy lakefront beaches in Michigan (thanks to the four Great Lakes that border it). The west coast of Michigan has especially nice beaches—try a rental in Muskegon, Grand Haven or Saugatuck. You won’t need a car when visiting Mackinac Island. In fact, they’re not allowed—this lovely Victorian resort town is pedestrian-only.

Currant Mist is truly a unique tasting experience in Central Michigan, the only Winery in the state where you can try locally produced black currant, red currant and gooseberry wines from fruit grown on our own farm. These wines are so extraordinary they force you to think outside the grape!

Love the selection of Michigan wine and snacks. It’s fun to try new wines from around the state. Excellent service from a knowledgeable staff. I admittedly haven’t ventured much to public places this year due to covid concerns. This place has established excellent covid precautions (masks required by staff and customers, hand sanitizers on table, etc.). The staff make you feel very comfortable and safe. There is an awesome outdoor seating area, which is perfect to enjoy fresh air and good wine! You can also purchase wines to go.

We did our tasting with Andrew. He was knowledgeable about the wines as well as attentive. The winery is cute inside and has a beautiful copper top tasting bar. The dry riesling was a highlight as well as the bubble cerise.

Located just off of I-94, our Bridgman Tasting Room is perfect for quick stops or extended stays in the area. It offers the same great tasting experience as our main winery, where our resident wine experts lead you through our wine menu to sample, including our award-winning Grand Mark. These wines were dynamite!! We had a great time taste testing all the different wines! Came with a group of 10 people! We were all blown away by the wine!! My favorites were the Pinot Blanc and Moscato!
