Diese Weinwirtschaft mit angeschlossenem Weinverkauf eigener Weine war eher ein Zufallsfund. Einerseits war es eine wahre Freude, gegenüber den "Tourie-Preisen" in Rüdesheim hier ein überaus günstiges Preisniveau zu erleben, dann stellte sich noch heraus, dass die Preise für die Qualität der angebotenen Gerichte und Weine mehr als grechtfertigt waren. Die Weine konnte man/frau somit für kleines Geld schon einmal auf der gemütlichen Terrasse testen. Auch das Innere des Lokals war vom Ambiente sehr ansprechend. In einem angrenzenden Lagerraum konnte man/frau dann (gratis, was durchaus nicht die Regel ist!) nicht nur die Weine der Karte, sondern auch andere Lagen und Sorten in Ruhe probieren und wurde dabei vom Chef kompetent beraten. Spitzenklasse und unbedingte Empfehlung!Logischerweise erhält man/frau in dieser Art von Lokalen keine kompletten Menüs, sondern eher Snacks und "Hausmannskost", welche aber sehr schmackhaft und durchaus üppig waren.

Spent a great spring evening at this typical German restaurant with its generous portions of everything, food and wine. The wine list is impressive with a large variety of wines mostly riesling and its burgunder (burgundy) whites. The schnitzels are huge and you can add a salad and fries if you're really hungry. Try some of the local starters with cheese in an onion flavoured dish. Very good.

This wine pub is in an outdoor setting just above Drosselgasse. It is a place to sample different wines inexpensively and people watch. There is music from local musicians to make the stop even more enjoyable.

We stopped here for lunch as part of our tour package. Our group of 30+ rolled in to fill the front section of this rather large restaurant. When I say large, as you explore you begin to find other rooms and seating areas as well as a charming courtyard. We were limited to a few choices for lunch. I had the Schnitzel Wiener Art, which was pretty good, but not the best I have had. My wife had the vegetarian dish, which was a salad that included eggs, which is not really vegetarian. Topped off the schnitzel with a bottle of dry riesling and all was good. It would be nice to try this restaurant not being part of a tour as I am sure it would be a much better experience. But nonetheless, we had a great time hanging out with friends.

An initiative of several local wine producers to come up with a place to enjoy high quality regional wines. If it is for testing or just taking a break - the place offers good quality, reasonable prices and a superb location. Do not hesitate to buy if you like the wine.

Small location with 2 different rooms - one is a cosy living room style with a few tables in various sizes, sofas etc., the other a winebar with high stools and lots of bottles on the walls. In any case you should enjoy the freshly prepared dishes from a small but comprehensive menu, and the nice wines - both from the own vineyards and other regions. And overall you will face a smiley service throughout your stay.

A hidden secret as away from the main tourist hot spots hidden down a back lane.Great food off a reasonably priced menu but the joy was the wine.Made on the premises with definite skill and dedication.As we had the car the opportunity to fully load could not be missed. 2017 Reisling Kabinett Trocken E7 a bottle (silver preismunze). 2017 Spatburgunder-Rotwein-Halbtrocken E8 a bottle and a real cracker Reisling Spatlese-Halbtrocken (bronze preismunze) E9.5.Absolute steal for the quality and the noted much used watering hole for the wine trade and growers alike.Not to be missed but not open until noon.

My sister and I found this little restaurant while taking a stroll through Ruedesheim and stopping at a sign advertising a Porcini Mushroom Tagliatelle. We made reservations for the following evening. Stefan and his wife Ulrike, who is the chef, welcomed us into this small, cozy restaurant where everybody is treated like a friend. Stefan makes his own wine and his recommendation to try the "Alte Rebe" was a hit. It was one of the best Rieslings I have enjoyed in a while. The Porcini pasta dish was excellent. A generous portion served with a nice salad. This was by far the best meal we had in Ruedesheim. Thank you, not only for an excellent meal and great wine, but also for your warm hospitality.

The food here is very good and reasonably priced. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Their own wines are excellent. We have been here twice already and will certainly go again.
