Typical roadside serving drinks and food seven days a week. Public bar for drinks and conversation(dogs allowed), Lounge Bar for meals and snacks, outside tables also available weather permitting
I had a really nice visit to The Rhiwderen Inn, there is so much to choose from off the menus and specials board, great vegetarian options, the food was delicious and the portions were very large, I had the Spinach and Ricotta Cannalloni with Garlic Bread and a Coke - we had great customer service, I would go there again soon!

Myself and my Grandmother booked with our slimming world class to attend a Christmas meal at this pub for the 21st of this month. I was surprised with a holiday as an early Christmas present off my partner yesterday which unfortunately meant I could no longer attend the meal as I will not be in the country. My grandmother, being disabled will also not be able to attend without me. I was made aware yesterday after I had paid the full amount of £30 each for the meals that it was non-refundable. Because of this I called and spoke to the land lady personally to ask if there was any way I could have vouchers or an opportunity to rearrange this meal for us both, having paid them £60. I was told over the phone no.No because itâs her policy. I explained the situation and was told âIf she let me and my Nan off other people might do it.âSo myself and my grandmother have now lost £60 of which they are keeping in exchange for NOTHING!! I thought considering the circumstances and the time of year this would not be the case. Me and my family will certainly never attend this pub in the future. The organiser of your party advised your Slimming World consultant that she would be coming in to pay the balance and that after that it would be non refundable. I could tell you were upset when you slammed the phone down on me yesterday.

The staff were fantastic! Friendly, attentive, alert but subtle. It became obvious that something (we donât know what) was causing the kitchen to fall behind. Step up our waiter who gently apologised and offered bread and olives! The perfect approach.However...we only ordered mains and waited an hour and 20 minutes for it to arrive!! If weâd not been with great company weâd have walked. When it came the food was underwhelming. I had ham (hock) egg and chips. The ham was enormous, fatty and a bit unpleasant. I donât get the idea. Other meals didnât inspire. If not for the excellent waiter we would have been complaining. As it was we were just left disappointed.

Donât get why drinks are so expensive. £4.75 for a lager is too much. Average in other pubs £3.60 to £4. Fillet steak nice but came sliced for some reason which was underwhelming. Lamb dish good and chips thick and well cooked.

I've wanted to go here for years but never got round to it. Definitely worth the wait. You go up to the counter where the uncooked meat, fish etc is on display to make your choice. There are also various blackboard menus including a 2 course lunch menu for £13.99 which we all went for. I had the smoked mackerel with beetroot which was great. The others had tomato and red pepper soup, also good. We had garlic bread which was so yummy. Warm crusty bread with garlic butter dip. All main courses were good especially the leg of lamb and the chips were superb! The sticky toffee pudding was huge, too big really but tasty and my creme Catalan was excellent. The staff were very good and helpful. The setting is wonderful. I want to go back!

My wife and visited on Saturday 28 September 2019 arriving at 1830. A plus for the night was that the food was very good but the service was efficient to the point of lacking any personal touch making the ambiance cold and not very inviting. Seating arrangements designed to squeeze them in.
