Playa de Troya – 5 minutes sailing The main beach in Playa de las Americas is Playa de Troya. There is no lava sand here, but fine-grained, golden sand with large areas with sun loungues and sunshades. The water is partially protected in the artificial bay, and high waves are very rare. A wonderful sand beach surrounded by palm trees, is also a perfect spot to watch the night life from the other side - the famous Papagayo! 2. Playa de Las Americas – 15 minutes sailing Playa de Las Americas is a busy resort on the south coast of Tenerife with a reputation for being the place to party on the island.
