Lower Yellowstone River Falls

A spectacular waterfall located in Canyon Country.

Reviewed By Tommy599 - Two Rivers, United States

We crossed Chittenden bridge across the Yellowstone river; stopping first at Uncle Toms to view the smaller upper Falls, then on to Artist Point to view the MAGNIFICENT lower falls and the unbelievable colors of the canyon. It is IMPOSSIBLE to describe the majesty of this waterfall and canyon colors, so we will not even try,

Mystic Falls Trail

Reviewed By CatchBooker - New Mills, United Kingdom

Set off from near Old Faithful towards Biscuit Basin and accidentally stumbled upon the Mystic Falls Trail and it turned out to be one of the better memories from my Tour of National Parks And Canyon Country. The steep bit going up hill I'm ashamed to say I struggled with a little, I had a good pace going as I was speed walking past everyone on the way up but it was sapping away my strength and I was haemorrhaging sweat at an alarming rate. It was much more of a stroll on the way back down and as the whole thing was spontaneous and unplanned the waterfall (highlight) turned out be a nice surprise, definitely worth the effort.

Upper Falls

Reviewed By phat_dawg_21 - Alpharetta, United States

The Upper Falls are about 110 feet high and mark the area where the Yellowstone River leaves the Hayden Valley, on its way into the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Make the short drive to the Brink of the Upper Falls where you will find three more great areas where you can view the river as it flows over the falls.

This is a pull-off right down the road from Old Faithful while heading toward the Tetons. It is easy-off/easy-on. The walkway is about 100 feet and you can see the falls to one side and downstream below you and to the other side of the viewing platform. If you want an easy way to see a beautiful set of falls that is really easy to get to then this is your stop to see it. Enjoy
