We took a yellow songthaew from Warorot market at 40 Thai Baht per person to the botanic garden. The journey took about an hour. Entrance fee is free for senior over 60s. We were recommended to take a tram to the garden as it was quite a walk. The tram was 30 baht per person. The first stop was at the canopy. It was a very impressive walkway with fantastic views. The driver then took us to the glasshouse gardens. This was divided into different sections with alpine plants, orchids, cactus and rain forest. Particularly impressive was the large rain forest glass house with a massive waterfall. We meant to visit the natural science museum but we ran out of time. We will do it on our next visit. Highly recommend.

Cool unique spot where the mineral deposits on the rocks allow you to climb the waterfall. Long awkward stairway down, a bit of fun work to get up.

Mae Ya Waterfall

Reviewed By whisker11 - Singapore, Singapore

We decided to visit Mae Ya Waterfall as our last activity for the day at Doi Inthanon. Coming down from Doi Inthanon, Google maps somehow led us on a rigmarole winding route through a village with narrow roads before emerging on a main road. Upon reaching the car park, it is a bit of trek in, first on flat road, then sandy, rocky terrain. You will then be greeted by the sight of a truly impressive tall waterfall with multiple cascades. It was well worth the journey to see it.

Pretty waterfalls and park area. We stayed about 30 minutes and hiked around and very near the falls. Easy walk. If you want to stay longer there is food and drink available. Restrooms too.

Mae Sa Waterfall

Mae Sa waterfall was a great day trip, there was 10 stages to the waterfall each stage being individual and unique. The water was cold and felt amazing to swim in leaving you feeling fresh afterwards. Nearby are many local restaurants at good price in beautiful locations. I would recommend heading up the mountain your visit at the waterfall to catch the sunset from high ground.

Mok Fa Waterfall is in the area of Doi Suthep-Doi Pui National Park. It is located on the Mae Malai–Pai road about 40 minutes from Chiang Mai. The waterfall is surrounded with lush green trees and is a peaceful picnic spo

I was traveling from Pai back to Chiang Mai and stopped to see the waterfall. I was skeptical of the entrance fee 100 baht but quickly paid because that is only $3.00 US. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the waterfall. Make sure to leave anything you don't want to get wet because the waterfall area gets very wet from the mist. The waterfall itself is very beautiful and the best one I had seen in Thailand.
