Unidos da Tijuca Samba-School, the third oldest samba school in Rio de Janeiro has been presenting an interesting all year long attraction: “Backstage Tour of a Carnival Parade”This is the first time a samba-school in Rio “opens up” their secrets, and guide tourist through the backstage activities. Tourists are guided by the official Carnival researcher of the Samba school and see all phases of the carnival parade preparation. The attraction starts with the explanation of the parade theme, and then moves on to each step of the parade building: the conception of theme, design sketches of the costumes, mock-up floats, the floats assembly area , carnival costume factory, and finally the quality area. At the end of the program, visitors see a pocket show of the samba-school, with real samba dancers and samba percussionists. The attraction is a very good option where the foreigner can learn a bit how the magic of the carnival in Rio is done. Definitely, a must if the visitors is interested in visual arts, architecture or carnival itself. The “Backstage Tour at Unidos da Tijuca” attraction lasts for 2 and half hours and can be scheduled Mondays through Saturdays through Unidos da Tijuca Marketing Department.

It wasn't Riley's Aquarium or anything else but it was an amazing experience nonetheless. I see reviews complaining about the organization/collection but it was beautiful. They had a massive main tank where you can go underwater, and a gorgeous collection of fish of all colors and sizes. Its a great family activity with plenty of activities for kids and virtual aquariums. you can learn tond about different species and what not.
