The Apuseni Mountains are Romanian countryside at its best; flower-rich meadows, ancient forests and traditional wooden buildings. For the hiker they are ideal, as your walk can be as leisurely or intense as you like, with a great variation in the scenery and the landscape. too. The steep forested hillsides hide traditional villages and pristine streams and for the nature lover, the forests and meadows are full of flowers, butterflies, birds, mammals, amphibians and other wildlife. The mountains are best reached from Cluj-napoca, where you can travel by car or train to Huedin before heading south into the hills. The roads can be narrow and bumpy at times and shops and amenities are few and far between. Most villages usually have at least one small shop or car/cafe. I found walking here to be incredibly peaceful and would recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors.

After a 12 kilometers winter hike along the Someş river it was an excellent choice to jump into the warm water, try the sauna with the master, and especially the open air thermal bath during nighttime. What a nice second experience! We were here in March 2018 for the first time and decided to come back! And... we'll be back soon! :)

Enjoying a smart design and in line with the latest technologies, Aquapark Nymphaea encompasses over an area of 7 hectares a fascinating world dedicated equally to fun and adrenaline and also to ultimate relaxation and wellbeing. Having an arsenal consisting of 10 exciting slides, 15 swimming and relaxation pools, play structures dedicated to children, 6 sauna, massage salons, Turkish bath, sport courts and restaurants, Nymphaea is the largest waterpark in this region of Europe. It will unveil an unreal world, a small tropical island, giving you a perfect day of recreation in any season!
I was amazed by the facility’s organization, cleaness, professionalism and sections; it’s definitely meeting the highest European standards. The place include different pools and slides, dry wet sauna and Turkish baths section. You have to take your own towels with you otherwise you will be charged to rent one, which was thing I didn’t understand!. Also the facility doesn’t provide free drinkable water (as most similar places do) instead you have to buy botteled water with touristic prices. The masaj was a bit boring, the massaseus slightly touched with no hard movements. In general this place will definitely add to your visit to Oradea, make sure NOT to miss it.
