Famous for Bourbon Country and horse farms, civil war battlefields and beautiful natural parks, Kentucky offers a delightful mix of experiences. You might begin in Lexington, where the 1200-acre Kentucky Horse Park is a popular attraction. The university adds exciting sports, impressive art and a vibrant student/professor population to the city. Louisville is similar, where renowned Churchill Downs hosts the annual Kentucky Derby and the Belle of Louisville, the nation’s oldest steam-driven river paddlewheeler, hosts enchanting lunch and dinner cruises along the beautiful Ohio River. Next, head south to visit Mammoth Cave National Park for a day of touring the cave (the world’s longest known cave), hiking and canoeing on the Green River. Paducah, Berea, Bowling Green – so many places to explore and enjoy!

We had a great day with perfect weather. The park has a wave pool, lazy river, kids pool and lots of water slides. They have music and a gift shop that was affordable. They were cooking the hamburgers on grill outside so the food wS even great

I love the fact that there is slides for all ages and sizes. The way they set things up and everything, but the people can be a little suspicious.

We have been to the waterfront on many occasions. It is the best place to really see the river, especially in the summer. We try to always bring our friends and family here when they visit from out of town. It's a fun place for the kids and there are many activities and kid equipment here to keep them occupied. We had the most fun taking the foot path Big Four Bridge to Indiana. It was a thrill for everyone.

We were actually in downtown Nashville for a few days and looking for something sub to do that the kids would really like. Beech bend wasn’t too far away so we de died to try it. It is literally in the middle of a corn field. Very pretty drive. My family loved the water slides and water rides. Older son and I took a ride on the roller coaster and it was super fun. Since my husband is retired military we all got a discount on entry. Definitely somewhere I’d stop again. We are planning on camping there in the future.
