There’s something for people of all ages at Brazil’s largest water park, including pools, saunas, ecological walks, artificial rapids and – not for the fainthearted – a water slide the height of 14 floors.

Old resort and yet very clean and organized. Staff extremely polite. Buffet has multiple options including local dishes. Private ferry to Porto Seguro. Shuttle bus to Water Park and Arraial Village. Tickes to water park included. Daily activities for children from 3 to 12 yo. Fifth year in row and don’t plan to change.

My kids and I love this place, we go there every time we visit São Paulo, we have been there five times so far and we will be back for sure. The park has a perfect water temperature and plenty of different pools, rides and attractions. It is very clean comparable with USA water parks. I totally recommend this park. Hint: Like any park, avoid the vacation months (July, December and January) to avoid the crowd.

Myself and my girlfriend went here for two days trip from February 10th to 11th 2020. I had only been to a couple of Theme Parks in the world but from what I heard about this one, you should not expect Disney or Universal style of entertainment. So expectations were low. We entered the park and used the 24hr bank atm to get money ( note to self don't use that as they have incredibly high charges for use, use Bradesco Bank ATM ????). Then it was into the park and on first impression it looked nice. We first went to the Pirate Island looked interesting as it turned out it was not so impressive, then there is a German town section as we were in the South of Brazil a lot of German heritage.Still was not sure about whether this would be a classed a Theme Park or a Cultural experience with entertainment. Then I went on a kids ride all 6ft 4" of me ( there was no line ). Okay enough of the small talk. Then we decided to check out one the shows and it was AMAZING ???? the Acqua show- had contortionists, gymnastic style flips and tricks and some edge of the seat stunts.A really well done show and this was a sign of things to come. Then it was off to the Hot Wheels Epic Show.Hot Wheels the kids car toys but bigger, louder, petrol fueled, adrenaline rushing entertainment. What a show really enjoyable and wildly fun ???? . We also tried the Big Tower a tower 80metres high that you get dropped at about 75 miles per hour towards the ground. Also over the few days I tried the other rides and twice on Firewhip (basically you get strapped into it and you it's a rollercoaster but with your legs whipping left right and centre as you go at 50miles per hour and it leaves you with such a rush). In total We seen 5 shows. Excalibur from the King Arthur Medieval world, where you get to have a sit down meal and you are royally treated to Medieval sword fights, games and hand to hand combat and the crowd get really energized and are involved all the while. The Madasgar Circus Show lots of fun, loads of tricks, dancing and acrobatics and also the piece d'resistance The Cowboy Show which tells the story of the man himself Beto Carrero. So much fun to be had for young and old even a few water slides you can get a good soaking on. There is a reason this is South Americas No.1 Theme Park.It knows how to bring the fun and is professionally done and credit to all the staff for bringing the fun and joy. If you are in Santa Catarina go.Vai,Vai.Muito Bom.

From the imposing recreation of a very unusual train accident at the entrance, one would think this is just a train musuem. And though trains do play a special part in the attractions inside, it's a bit more than that. A young man in the 1950's started a hobby of recreating vapour-powered machines - and over time these were put in model settings representing several locations around the world which had influence in the history of energy generation. The guides/monitors, who are necessary for the visitors to get the full jist, are continously available, including some who lead English or Spanish-speaking groups. It's a brief, but truly educational and enjoyable tour. By the way, the machines are in working order and one, for example, creates paper for the visitors to take home as a memento. There are nice spaces for kids to experiment - not quite on the level of kids' museums in the US, but for Brazilian standards, above average. There is a simple train ride, which will be upgraded; the current one really is aged and though adults and kids go on it, it's more like a kiddie-ride. It's the only outside activity. Something else that will be improved is the lovely train model - which shows how one would have traveled by that form of transportation from the capital Porto Alegre to Canela (unfortunately, train transportation fell out of favor in Brazil in the 1950s). Currently, the trains aren't doing the rounds that fascinate kids and adults alike. We also enjoyed taking a family picture in the "historical photo" area. And the souvenir store actually had really reasonable prices, as it was doing a post-Christmas sale. All in all, a really worthwhile attraction to visit while you're in Gramado and Canela. Disclaimer: I know the current operations manager, who invited us. But we noticed the prices were not exorbitant at all (if you're a student, R$ 20).
