Many things you see around you in nature can be used for nutrition, and you might be surprised how good these can taste. In this workshop you will learn to recognize edible plants that grow in the wild. An experienced instructor takes you into the nature. You will get to use didactic material finding a number of plants in nature. You learn to use the roots, flowers, stems, seeds, nuts, grains and insects both for food and medicine. Of course you also get to taste everything we find. After this workshop, nature will become your favorite supermarket.

You haven’t been in Norway when you haven’t seen it from the fjord side! Not that long ago the fjords where the highways of Norway. By motorboat we will take you back in time on this guided sightseeing tour. During the excursion we make a stop at the old ‘fjord butikk’ (shop) and pay a visit to ‘Hjeltnes gartnerskule’, the oldest agricultural school in Norway. First we stop at the Hardangervidda Natursenter for a unique and very entertaining presentation of Hardanger vidda. Then we visit one of Norway’s most famous waterfalls, ‘Vøringfossen’ where water plunges a staggering 182 meters down in the Måbødalen valley. Further up the road you will get an unforgettable experience of life on the mountain plateau while we do a short trekking through this rough deserted terrain.

Excursion with a guide to the roughest part of Hardangervidda. Spectacular journey through Austdalen, with breath-taking views and waterfalls to “Langevatn” a reservoir lake at alt. 1,200m, with a view on Hardanger Jøkulen, a large glacier. The guide tells the fascinating history of 100 years of "energy" in Osa. On the way back down, we visit the breathtaking waterfall “Roykafossen. Then we go to the historic, 100y old "Kafeen" for a pancake lunch. After lunch the tour continues to the tunnels of Osa. A historical view on the epic plan to turn Osa into a city for 6,000 people, develop a railway and metal industry. A telling of the extraordinary story of the unfinished construction of a hydroelectric power plant. In the roughest area of Hardangervidda, under harsh conditions, many kilometers of tunnels were constructed, including a vertical shaft of nearly 1 km inside the mountain. Experience the extraordinary story of likely the largest industrial archaeological site in Norway.

This is truly a trip to look forward to! The tour is guided and consists of a hike in unspoiled mountains and off - track. We descend in a 100-meter vertical (50˚) shaft and walk through a tunnel to an opening in the mountain wall 800 meters above the ground! After this exciting experience we head for Austdalshytte (our mountain cabin). Along the way to the cabin, if so wished, we can do some easy climbing.

You have no clue where you are and have to find your way back to civilization and during that trip…”stay alive”. How does that work? Step by step we introduce to you the 4 basics of survival (shelter, water, food and fire) with theory and practice. You need to fully understand these before you can survive in the wild. We take you out into nature, instruct, demonstrate and support you while trying these new skills yourself. A Norwegian “must do”! The trip starts by driving you along the beautiful Hardanger Fjord. Along the way you will cross Europe’s largest suspension bridge and see many fruit farms. From Tyssedal we start the hike to one of the world’s most famous attractions “Trolltunga”. Lace your boots tightly and bring your camera! Our experienced guide will take you to the Trolltunga cliff at 1100 meters altitude. The view will take your breath away while you are standing on a small piece of rock 700 meters above Ringedalsvatnet lake. The trail is 25 kilometers long and goes through steep forest terrain, moon-like flatlands, marshes, snowfields and a rocky mountain trail. This is Norway at its best! During the hike, the guide will show and demonstrate many survival/bushcraft skills, and will prepare for you a tea at the Troll Tunga cliffside. This will be an adventurous and educational experience.

We tell you the story of an amazing project - a planned hydro power plant in the mountains which was never finished- that started up 100 years ago. We take you on a guided walk in a large underground complex and go deep into the mountain, enter shafts and tunnels on different layers.
