We bet you can’t wait to start exploring Tokyo as a family, but we know you might also be wondering where to eat and what activities the entire family can enjoy together. Join one of our hosts to explore the city, seeing weird and wacky things like wildly out-there cosplay costumes in the streets of Harajuku, the kawaii culture of cat cafes (but there are hedgehog cafes now too!) or VR gaming in a futuristic neighborhood. Try local street food, slurp ramen, try rainbow colored treats at an Alice in Wonderland Cafe, or head to a conveyor belt sushi. Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You'll also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do

Inclusions: Private and personalised experience, 4 hours with a host, Walking experience (if required, your host can suggest public transport or private taxi options), Hotel meet-up (available on request for central location)

Exclusions: Food and drinks, Tickets to any attractions, Transportation costs, Gratuities (optional)

Kento is most definitely the perfect guide for late night adventures around Shinjuku. Highly personable with an enquiring mind and a lot of fun , I’m sooooo glad I stumbled into one of his tours . If a traveller wants to get to know the Golden Gai area , this is most definitely your man . The meal before was wonderful and somewhere I would never have discovered by myself - and cheap as ! This is the real thing , with a brilliant guide .

The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.

Kaori-san was an amazing guide and even though it was new years day, I was able to try many different and delicious foods! Without Kaori's guidance I would not have known where to go, since many places are closed during the new years in Japan. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to try many different cuisines in one day. After the tour I was completely stuffed from trying so many different foods, but it was totally worth it!

LET'S GET OUT OF THE TOURIST AREA where it is super busy and crowded with people! My tour focuses on Ueno, which is not as crowded as Shibuya and Shinjuku and is less touristy. It is also famous with Japanese foodies for good quality at lower prices. I'm going to take you to popular bars and restaurants for ONLY LOCALS (NO TOURISTS!!) where the staff speaks only Japanese. I will order signature dishes, and we will discuss the food and drink (and you can pepper me with questions). We will visit 3 restaurants/taverns, where you will sample sashimi, grilled fish and skewered meat. You will also have the opportunity to try UNIQUE Japanese alcoholic drinks (4 or more different type of drinks) and you'll be able to experience what Japanese taverns are like. After visiting these three taverns, we will end the tour at a great Ramen shop that is popular with locals. At the end of the tour, I will take you to the entrance of each train line, depending on where you need to go

Inclusions: ALL FOODS and RAMEN on the tour are INCLUDED in the tour fee., You have 5 drinks on the tour.
