São Paulo (Portuguese pronunciation: [sɐ̃w ˈpawlu] ( listen)) is one of the 26 states of the Federative Republic of Brazil and is named after Saint Paul of Tarsus. As the richest Brazilian state and a major industrial complex, often dubbed the "locomotive of Brazil", the state is responsible for 33.9% of the Brazilian GDP. São Paulo also has the second highest Human Development Index (HDI) and GDP per capita, the fourth lowest infant mortality rate and the third lowest rate of illiteracy among the federative units of Brazil. São Paulo alone is richer than Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia combined. If São Paulo were an independent country, its nominal GDP would be ranked among the top 20 in the world (2010 estimate). The economy of São Paulo State is the most developed in Brazil.

Hilton recommended this class, so we had no doubt it would be good. It was better ;) Mariana was helpful and friendly, explained a lot about the local and national ingredients, their relation to history and their current culture. It's a gastronomic as well as historical lesson. Cooking, we love it, so the equipment we checked and used was professional. So were the ingredients. Freshly cooked, our final menus were delicious. We can recommend the team behind this cooking class, especially Mariana, thank you!

We had two amazing days with Michael. We did the kayaking on the Friday and hiking on the Saturday. Both were fantastic experiences. Michael was a superb guide and a really nice guy who my partner and I enjoyed spending time with. I would highly recommend. Michael knew a lot about the history of Paraty, the geography and the people. This made our holiday what it was.

São Paulo is hosting some of the biggest communities of immigrants of the world. We will talk about Italians, Japanese, Syrian-Lebanese and many others. Walking between the "new" downtown and the old city we will discover how this city was getting so important and how its social and cultural diversity make this place so incredible. We'll see the first Skyscraper of Latin America and find the signs of the oldest indigenous path of this side of the world! Be ready to jump to the top of the city to shell the eyes in front of its immensity for later diving into its vibrant communities to get lost in its colors, perfumes and hidden details.

What makes good photography tour? Is it set-ups and copying the shots of the guide? Or is it the opportunity to be creative, interpretative and capture unique impressions of a place? If it is the latter, then Victor is your ideal guide. He was previously an advertising art director and now a full time photography guide. Victor understands that photographers do not want just record shots or narcissistic selfie shots, but rather images that reflect a place and the photographer, and tell part of a story or journey. For me, I wanted to capture some of the everyday lifestyles in Sao Paulo, Some parts of Sao Paulo are potentially dangerous and so it is essential to have a photographer/guide like Victor that knows Sao Paulo and where to go for photography and to keep clients safe. We started off at the Luz train station which is architecturally interesting to photograph. Also it is an photographically interesting place to photograph locals . From there we did a walk about of parts of the downtown area to photograph street activities and some historic but photographically interesting buildings. We encountered a small dance group practicing for an upcoming event and have attached a few photos. Victor is a versatile photographer with an artistic eye- so you just need to advise him what your photographic style and interests are . As far as I can tell, Victor does not do set-ups for others to copy but takes you to places that offer photo opportunities for self expression and interpretation I have been in photography for more that 40 years and highly recommend Victor.

Description of the script: We go by boat to the beginning of the trekking about 50 minutes of sailing on the high seas, the boat trip is already a separate route as we go along all the deserted beaches of the ecological reserve seeing breathtaking landscapes, works of nature, rocky shores and many curiosities along the way. We will disembark at Barra do Una Beach and then we will walk 22 km, passing by trails and roads; the first 6 beaches are for photos only and a little rest on the penultimate beach at Arpoador we stayed 30 to 40 minutes longer. There we have a beach and a rapids for the bath when it's time to leave. ☆☆ Tip: very willing and who is really used to doing long distance trekking. Minimum 10 people maximum 25 or to match.
