We were staying in a vacation rental north of Lyon while attending the Women’s World Cup and had initially wanted to take a Beaujolais Wine Tour on one of the off-days. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a tour or private tour guide that wasn’t already booked. As a result, we moved further North and started looking at Burgundy wine tours. Luckily by-chance, we booked The Wines of Burgundy Day Tour with Pieter Smits. We had a wonderful tour with Pieter as we visited several villages, chateaus, and wineries. Not only were we able to sample some fine wines but Pieter also selected a restaurant where we had a great lunch. Pieter is very engaging and knowledgeable which helped make the tour very enjoyable. It's an experience I will always remember.

Our initial tour was planned in May, for our Honeymoon, unfortunately this was cancelled due to corona virus. We rescheduled our trip to March 2021. We contacted Ophorus to re-arrange. Michelle was completely understanding and moved our booking, without any extra fees or hassle. She responded extremely quickly, for which we was most grateful. Unfortunately, our honeymoon was cancelled on us for a second time, so we reached out to Michelle again to ask for a refund. Once again, we received a very quick reply, which was great. I work for a small business so understand the importance of cash for small businesses, but once again there was no hassle, and our refund has been processed. I cannot be thankful enough. When the travel restrictions ease, we will certainly be re-booking with Ophorus, there customer service has been excellent. There has been no language barrier issues, the English has been excellent. I wish everyone who reads this review to book with Ophorus. Going by my experience so far they will not be disappointed. Many thanks to Ophorus from us during these difficult times. I wish you well.

From the Roman Empire to the European Union, through Clovis, Vauban, Kellermann and Leclerc, let's see what our cultures have in common, or precisely, different!

Great trip! A good balance between wine tasting, sightseeing trough the vineyards and beautiful villages. Our guide was well known with the region, wine production and the taste of wine. Also nice that we only visited organic / bio winemakers. This tour is highly recommended if you prefer small scale wineries and love an intimate tour around the Alsace area.

In this small-group full day tour, you will visit traditional Christmas markets in Colmar and in other Alsace villages. Strasbourg hosted in 1570 the very first edition of one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe and has continued, since then, the tradition of Alsatian Christmas. However, Colmar and other Alsatian villages have also developed their own warm and generous Christmas Markets tradition, with their little wooden huts, Christmas lights and festivities. Experience the true Christmas spirit and open all your senses to delicious fragrances, delightful craft goods and lights along your way. Those markets will amaze you with their surprising and mouthwatering discoveries.
Inclusions: Visit of Christmas markets, English-speaking driver and guide, Travel in late-model, comfortable, fully-equipped minivans, Free wifi access on board
Exclusions: Personal insurance and expenses, Meals & drinks, Gratuities, Entrance fees to monuments, museums, attractions unless mentioned, Hotel pickup and drop-off
