The paths are immersed in the Alta Murgia National Park, walking you have the feeling of being in a large open space in which to wander with your gaze towards infinite horizons characterized by the pungent smells of mint and wild thyme in the intense green of the wheat fields or rocky pastures between the evident yellow of the ferula, meeting orchids and cricket hawks. In this land, emperors, farmers, shepherds, lumberjacks, together with the climate, have made the landscape and its culture unique. On the way you will meet beautiful farms, you will cross oak forests, along the ancient sheep tracks of transhumance you will discover jazzi and post offices, you will walk along panoramic mule tracks and among the wheat fields you will admire ancient straw hay and fish. On the hills, flocks of sheep will mingle with the characteristic sharp rocks that give this territory its name (murex = murice> murgia).

Alberobello, in the region of Puglia in Southern Italy, is a strange and picturesque destination, which is becoming an important fixture on travel itineraries, as well as independent travelers. The small town has been included in the UNESCO world heritage site. Looking like igloos, constructed out of pure stone, the beehive-shape structures, have origins that dates back to the 15th century and maybe older. You can not find trulli nowhere else in the world When the Emperor Frederick II built this castle near Bari in the 13th century, he imbued it with symbolic significance, as reflected in the location, the mathematical and astronomical precision of the layout and the perfectly regular shape. A piece of medieval military architecture, the Islamic and the European Cistercian Gothic.

We wished we could see Pope Francis but we could never expected we could see him so closely thanks to Rossana great effort. Rossana and our driver Luigi are both great persons and the visit to the Pope very well organized. They both were professional, supportive, engaging and very helpful. Rossana took really a great effort to make the visit tailored to our needs and she had great sense of humour. Big thanks to R and L. We would highly recommend this tour.
