Our Visitor Center, open from June through August, is located in Rockglen Saskatchewan,30 miles from the Grasslands National Park. It has full-service R.V. Parking with Public Washroom, Shower and Laundry facilities. There is also Children's Playground a block from the Visitor Center for your little ones enjoyment. You may browse our museum,craft shop,railway museum and coffee shop or just relax with a coffee on our wheel-chair accessible deck. Ask about "Oliver" who represents a four-tusked Mastodont found 3 miles out of town or take a guided tour of the Effie Mattson Nature Walk and Archeological Centre for a full description of the Glacial history of this unique area. Hikers may do the Burning Hills Hike or the Yost Wildlife hike, while a short drive to Rockin Beach Park on Fife Lake provides boaters lots more R.V. parking and a boat dock for some 'lake living'. Groups can arrange a 5 hour educational tour to Sitting Bull's Canadian Campgrounds that includes a visit to the Wood Mountain NWMP Post Provincial Park and the Rodeo Ranch Museum. Using our Visitor Center as a base, you can visit the Big Muddy Badlands, Grasslands National Park, Wood Mountain Post Provincial Park, St. Victor Petroglyphs Historic Park and Rockin Beach Park, all within a 35 mile radius, as you explore the historic Wood Mountain Uplands.
