We wanted to stay here but the rooms were already booked. That speaks volumes to begin with. Instead we decided to make the drive to Domaine Des Peyre to do a wine tasting. We definitely made the right choice. Hugo was our man. He was friendly, helpful and completely brilliant from start to finish. He knew the wines, he knew the vineyard and he knew the back story of the label, the brand and the entirety of the world he was surrounded by, including the wonderful art works. This place is just a feast for your senses, from the gorgeous design of the tasting room, the wine branding, the bar and the leather sofas. To the blue skies, the healthy vines and the works of art scattered around. So much care and attention has been given to create an experience that you’ll remember. Of course, we didn’t leave empty handed. After such a great experience, we took home some luscious wines which were a welcome reward from such a remarkable place… all thanks to Hugo being Hugo ?

What can I say beyond the title? Welcoming, well equipped, clean, lovely, worth staying at. This is our second visit here and will not be our last. Beautiful Gites in a wonderful setting. Owners who could not be more welcoming. Pool, small playground and space for the kids to run around. The location. Is beautiful, quiet and relaxed. It is a bit of a drive to get to anywhere but that is the trade off for the peace and quiet. As a valid point, we have been before, we have come back and we WILL be back again. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Former Provençal bastide from the XVIIIth century, Le Galinier is a family home where you will find the forgotten Provence, the crafts, the cuisine, the literature and the art that make the region so rich. Free of all clichés, you can relax here, away from the hustle and bustle, facing The Petit Luberon. Nestled in its 3 hectare estate, the grounds invite guests to enjoy a total change of scenery. The garden is an oasis of flowers and hundred-year-old trees, alongside a swimming pool and water features to offer a haven of peace with the scent of Provence. Offering several spaces that combine intimacy, conviviality and comfort, this guest house boasts a Provençal decor, from which emerges an atmosphere so personal that it gives the impression of being at home, or at least at the home of friends.
We spent three nights in this lovely place converted from an old Bastide and outbuildings set a short walk from the centre of Lourmarin. Having mixed expectations from the previous reviews we were delighted. The buildings and garden are charming, very simple, the right side of natural. particularly delightogardens which have a formal structure but not at all coiffed. Bravo to the gardeners and garden designer. We stayed in the Grange which was converted from an outbuilding. It is in simple rustic minimal style. A little dark but lots of downstairs space. Upstairs the facilities are quite intimate so may suit a family more than friends. Well equipped kitchen with laundry. Excellent and lovely stone pool. Free bicycles. The management is light touch, helpful if asked but generally leave you to a peaceful time. We didn’t have breakfast as the shops and bakery were 5 -10 minutes walk away and we were allowed free use of the terrace tables for meals. Altogether a wonderful place in a lovely part of Provence.

We spend a few days of Christmas break in a guesthouse of this place, with the spa access. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable - and very clean everywhere. The owners are very helpful and we enjoyed their advice in exploring the area (for wine tasting and visiting). Having access to spa was really the thing to have, especially in the cold season! Definitely recommendable to other visitors to the region.

We enjoyed the excellent and clean accommodation. Despite the language barrier, the service was generous and very helpful. The breakfast consisted of the classic continental ingredients. Wonderful bread and croissants!

At the entrance of the typical Provençal village of Aubignan, facing the Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail, an ideal starting point to discover Luberon and Provence region. Les Demeures du Ventoux, was built in 2009, in harmony and respect with nature. 104 typical provençal houses, with terraces, some duplex, located in the heart of a Mediterranean park. Pedestrian ways allow the guest to go through the domain easily.
Very low quality. Beds were OK. Parking and location are OK. Personel is... not there or not usefull. The swimming pool was large, but way too cold. Breakfast is a total disaster. Don't take it... the bar is present, but no personel. No atmosfere. 0 animation. Idiotic swimming pool rules. Most of the furniture is worn out... Its only good if you need a place to sleep... but the park itself is not to be recommended!

Between Nimes and Montpellier, within 300 meters from the city center and arena of the town of Saint -Christol , open the doors of the Domaine de Bacchus near Lunel. You will find small terraced houses organized around play areas. 65 Houses furnished and equipped up our vacation residence. Each offers the greatest comfort with terrace.
No air con (aware when booked so own fault really!) No towels at all No soap in the toilet. Approx a quarter of a toilet roll left in the apartment. Bearing in mind we were staying for 4 nights and travelling hand luggage only from the UK we hadn't thought to pack towels! Would have been nice for a bit of notice of things not in apartment which we could then have either packed or at least known to get from the supermarket.

First impression was that we had taken a wrong turning... Surely this was just a house near the corner of the street. However when the gates opened it all changed. There was a fairly large house in an enormous garden, with a swimming pool and what looked like a small orchard. This was indeed a gem in hiding. Our hosts were charming and very helpful, we were shown to our room which was spacious and clean. With its own bathroom and shower. The bed was comfortable so we both had a great nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was served outside in the garden, with plenty to eat and lots of coffee. Pleased to have found this B&B, and if Orange is on our route another time, we will use it again.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 5 nights and it was wonderful. Stefan is an enthusiastic and accommodating host. the breakfast is served in a lovely sun filled room with a fresco of bids painted on the ceiling. For breakfast, Stefan provides croissant and fruit, along with homemade pastries and freshly squeezed lemonade. The hotel is amazingly furnished and homey. We stayed in the Ansouis room which was very comfortable. There were steps up to the bathroom so keep in mind if you book this room. As with most European hotels, the shower is handheld in the bath, which would be my only, very small, criticism. But otherwise, all 100%. The village of Ansouis is small and charming. the church at the top is beautiful and contains frescoes and paintings that are magnificent. There are 3 restaurants in the village, Le Grain de Sel which is fantastic, La Closerie which has a Michelin* (we did not eat there but was packed every night) and a restaurant/bar at the corner near the post office that serves good lunch and dinner...but does not take cc, only cash. The Patisserie near the Post Office is also fantastic. the croissants are famous. They also serve hot small lunches on their patio. There is a grocery store that is well stocked. Parking is a challenge in any village and there is a large free parking lot at the entrance of the village. You will need to roll your bags up the hill to the hotel. Quick tip: park in the parking lot at the post office and take your bags up, it is closer. You can park there during the day for 1.5 hours and at night until 8am. This is a fabulous hotel and I highly recommend it!
