Romantic Rhineland-Palatinate is at the very heart of Riesling production in Germany, home to the largest wine regions in the country. The state is defined by lush vineyards, quaint medieval villages, UNESCO World Heritage sites, picturesque castles, volcanic lakes and wine-rich valleys. Its sylvan forests and rising mountains provide the perfect backdrop to a summer hike, bike ride or wine tasting adventure, while its cities and towns are alive with cultural activities and festivals.

Zeer aangenaam verblijf.

These apartments are really lovely. We felt right at home and there was plenty of space! The owner, Andrea, was very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here! Fantastic location 50m from the sauna/spa.

The completely renovated and comfortably furnished Forest Villa Uessbach offers very modern and luxuriously furnished apartments with views to the forest or on the Uessbach. She has over a large garden and is situated in the popular Moselle region. In addition to bedrooms and bathroom all apartments have a fully equipped kitchen in the living area with Dishwasher.
As soon as we arrived the owner came out drunk to greet me telling me a story of why she hates British people off to a great start already after driving 13 hours. Making us wait for half an hour with our suitcases outside the front door explaining the long winded story. Finally when we got in to the room she shown me every single appliance down to light switches ?. Beautiful room and great set up felt like home. On day one after getting back from our day trip around 8oclock at night she comes running out shouting at my friends saying we had all been smoking in the rooms as non smokers we was all confused. After 10 minutes of unnecessary shouting she was saying she was going to have to get charge us for special cleaning €200 not a chance. To sum it up it's one of the worst places I've stayed at staff treated us like scum would avoid at all costs ?

If you are looking for five-stars, this is probably not the place. If you are looking for something very traditional and authentic, this place is great. We recently stayed two nights here for an anniversary trip. The apartment itself was on the 2nd floor and was meant for two people. There wasn't a private bedroom, rather a bedroom area, living room area and kitchen area, that were all 3/4 of the way separated from one another. the bathroom was small, but nicely renovated. Despite tasteful renovations, this place still has the old "charm". But, for some, it may seem undesirable. For example, the couch is an old Germany-style two-seater, the furniture is rather outdated and the kitchen is stocked with odds and ends. This didn't bother us at all, but if this is something that bothers you, you may want to look elsewhere. The apartment was fully-stocked, very clean, comfortable and we weren't missing anything while there. The owner was more helpful and accommodating. Everything was handled properly and quickly. Another thing that renters should keep in mind is the distance to the town of Cochem and the train station. If you are planning to spend most of your time in the center of town, this place may seem a bit far out with its walk of about 15 minutes. The walk to the train station is even longer at around 25mins (3Km). If you don't need those two locations or don't mind the walk, this isn't a problem. Especially because the walk is along the lovely Cochem promenade. As this place is directly on the river, it is also on the very busy road. We had an apartment at the back of the house and it was very quiet. If you are disturbed by street noise, I would recommend requesting such an apartment. Another issue was seemingly non-existent Wifi. Once again, we enjoyed this because we wanted to "disconnect", but, for some, it may not be ideal. As for the locations convenience to other things, this was quite good. There is a supermarket next door, a bakery around the corner, a wonderful wine restaurant a little past the bakery (Daniel Bach Straussenwirtschaft) and the bike path is literally right outside the front door. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic small-town German experience with enough comfort, but no frills.
