Härlig villa på välskött område
Reviewed By Northerntraveller05Vi hade hyrt en stor villa för för familjen då vi skulle fira födelsedag. Villan är helt ljuvlig, i väldigt gott skick, väl inredd. Gården stor med stor och härlig pool. Området där den här villan fanns är stort och det finns många olika sorters boenden. Restaurangen på området serverar god mat, synd bara att det inte är så mycket gäster som besöker den, inte för att vi var där mer än en handfull gånger för lunch/middag. Precis utanför porten till Vip chain resort finns en annan restaurang, lite billigare, som serverar super god mat också, Pama seafood. I närheten finns även andra bra restauranger att besöka. Alla som jobbar på detta resort är mycket trevliga och vi kände oss väl omhändertagna. Det finns en kille som kör runt med golfbil och för gästerna mellan porten och deras boende, min äldre mor som går dålig var en stamgäst på golfbilen. Rekommenderar varmt att bo på Vip chain resort, längtar redan tillbaks.

Reviewed By j0n1gIt’s not a cheap place to stay but the experience is amazing! But comfortable bungalows with a restaurant and bar right on the sand! The menu is great and the bar rocks on weekends until late, even after all the other places close. Really enjoyed my stay and slept soundly!!!

You can't miss the view at Sunrise Villas Resort. No matter which room you are in you have the magnificent view of the rocky shore looking across to the mainland. The resort is located adjacent to Nadan Pier along the North Coast of Koh Samed. The smartly furnished, air-conditioned rooms are all fitted with wardrobes, fridges and mini-safes with tiled flooring and a private veranda that overlooks the gently lapping waters of the rocky beach. All rooms have private bathrooms with shower facilities.The resort provides access to the internet via it's free Wi-Fi service. The resort can also provide laundry services and a barbecue area.The waterfront bar and restaurant serves authentic Thai and western dishes. A breakfast menu is also offered there.

Reviewed By MrKim13When looking for somewhere to stay on Koh Samed I decided to base my decisions on other people comments. Using one of the larger OTAs, I actually noticed that many of the higher ratings had been earnt by simpler properties. In the past I have also found that many middle level Thai resorts have become very complacent with their pricing to quality ration, even during Covid times. The description for Sunrise Villas was straightforward and as it turns out, very accurate. We enjoyed a 3 night stay. The property is simple, reception is not much more than a cupboard and the pathway to the bungalows is a slight challenge with irregular steps and angles. However, this is part of the quirky charm of this place. Squeezed between a small road and the sea the villas are semi-detached, they are simple, quite small but well fitted out. You have a terrace, small bedroom, safe, fridge, kettle and good AC. The room is simple, functional and clean. The bathroom is the same, functional, reasonably sized and clean. It is the typical Thai wet floor bathroom, but I find these practical and easy to use. For me the large bonus was the bug screen on the balcony door so you can enjoy the sound of the sea without any mosquitos. The table and 2 chairs on the terrace is a wonderful place to relax with a drink as the sun goes down or also for sunrise. The price we paid was great value for money and the room of better quality than many others. It is simple, yet the location is incredible. My only warning would be to anyone with a mobility issue as the pathways and steps are irregular and if you do have any difficulties walking, this may be challenging. Thank you to the staff of Sunrise Villas, we very much enjoyed our stay with you and will recommend to others.

Simple yet very clean and comfortable rooms with hot water and air conditioner. Very pleasant on the sea garden perfect to read a book early morning before hitting the beach. Many restaurants nearby and main beach is 10 mns walk. Highly recommended for low budget travelers

Sweet Escape, yet?
Reviewed By pmarc123This is the perfect choice for your sweet escape from the city. The place is the answer to your “me time” and you can enjoy the serenity of the island. However, it’s a little overprice compared to what they have provided on the island especially the facilities. There’s no TV in the room, there was no electricity from 9 am to 1 pm (the resort quote ; so the visitors can enjoy the sound of nature and reduce the greenhouse effect from the generator), the service to me is not really that up to luxury standard (again compared to the price we paid) and lastly we’re obligated to check out at 12 pm and we have to wait 3 hours under the bad weather just to wait for the boat to bring us back to the land at 3 pm. They better think of more solutions or better waiting areas to offer to guests especially when there are storms and rainfalls. Shout out to the restaurant, food, drinks and breakfast they are all superb and tasty!

With such warm welcome led us to stay longer than we expected. Location is great for people who want to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, it is situated in the middle of the way to city and Ban Phe, there are many ways to connect from place to place by public transportations or rented vehicles, so far so good, it's convenience enough for food,massage,bars and activities around the resort. Design and space are built proportionally, spa and fitness have a great sense of thai aesthetics. Two beautiful pools and beach chairs which resort provides guests on a nice beach. Room is spacious, good contemporary design between authentic thai and tropical. Love the greenery vibes that perfectly fall into place. Beautifully furnished by built-in furnitures, good size of kitchen,corresponds to standards EXCEPT the bidet showers that THEY INTENTIONALLY REFUSED to have. Previously, we stayed at Sea Sand Sun hotel which is owned by same chain,so same chain same policy, no BIDET showers but thai design! I pathetically laughed out loud, not because of I didn't know how to use toilet paper but no bidet in the KINGDOM of THAILAND. Before we left, surprisingly got the explanation (i.e. excuse) which was said "This hotel chains are owned by european so they prefer not to follow thai toilet culture, moreover,some guests don't know how to use and often break the bidet showers so we have to prevent this." Dear owner,I was quite disappointed to know this,not about the non-thai you are but your narrow attitudes. You designed and decorated everything into THAI style to get money in my country but not even little thought to show how you respect cultures and local way of living.

Reviewed By whooshbangNice bungalows set in lovely gardens and literally a stone throw from the beach. Rooms are clean with large comfortable beds. We stayed in no. 15 Air con excellent and WiFi strong and fast. There’s not a great deal of storage space but we managed okay. 5 spare power outlets which is good for these types of rooms. Hard plastic table and 2 chairs for dining are in the room which can easily be used on the veranda outside. BBQ and coals can be hired from reception for around 250thb per day. This is a dog friendly site so we were able to bring our little beast.... there are a few curious cats around that don’t seem to be any trouble. About 200 meters down the road you’ll see a handful of restaurants and falang bar. You can buy fresh fish from outside of the restaurants for your bbq. A small drying rack is provide outside each room for your wet beach towels. This is a really quaint place to relax the area is quiet and beach is quite too. Real nice place to relax and gather your thoughts. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Reviewed By shelstar7This place is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Apartment is perfect for four and you can get bigger if needed. Pool areas are well kept and staff are friendly. Its a gated community so it very safe and quiet. We love the golf buggy that picks you up and drives you to the front gate. Beach is right across the road and plenty of local eateries around. 7/11 is a short walk away too.

However, the location is very good and closeby the fresh market that provides fresh seafood from a fisherman with reasonable price.
