With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

Rancho Jacona, just 15 miles northwest of Santa Fe on the road to Los Alamos, is a collection of 11 casitas on a 17th-century estancia, or homestead. We are nestled between the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountain ranges and are beautifully set on 35 cottonwood-filled acres. Rancho Jacona provides a peaceful break from the city and hectic pace to which many people have grown accustomed. It tends to be quiet and slow here in all the best ways. Mornings begin with the sound of roosters crowing in the distance as rose and sunflower colored sunshine warms our wide open skies.Evenings are filled with the sound of breezes creating a rustle through the cottonwood leaves, as well as a symphony of crickets in the summer and fall. We offer 11 fully furnished, adorable casitas. Each has a full kitchen, as well as washer and dryer. Studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom and 4 bedroom available. Beautiful outdoor swimming pool late spring through early fall. Dog friendly. Family friendly
This is an ideal location for an intimate wedding. The casitas can house the most important guests for these days. We had a wedding celebration on the beautiful grounds in September. Friends and family loved the venue!

Nightly Earthship Rentals offers unique, fully furnished demonstration homes to experience completely sustainable, off-grid living. Available Earthships include private luxury homes, small efficiency units and other special properties in Taos, New Mexico. Fully furnished homes with modern amenities. This is not just a hotel. The Earthships provide an experience of living in an truly modern, sustainable home. Wifi Internet, TV, growing food, the ultimate in green buildings.
The self guided tour is really informative and you get a clear idea of how the earthships are made and how. Great food for thought as to how we can all be more resourceful when building and maintaining homes. Unfortunately we were not able to stay in one: all the rentals were full, but we got a good idea of what it would be like from the museum showcase.

This was the perfect cozy lodging for our first night in New Mexico, which turned out to be cold and rainy. The casitas are spacious and contemporary--even luxurious. It's definitely a place where you could get away to for a week and really relax. Our host, Stan, made a special effort to stop by and was very helpful in recommending places to eat locally and in Santa Fe. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend it to others (friends had recommended it to us).

Location, location! Downtown Santa Fe. Historic adobe property, 6 casitas. Newly remodeled and updated. Modern amenities, wi-fi, flat screens, etc. All 6 are little different and wonderful in their own right. All have Jaccuzi bathtubs, and cool kitchens. Beautifully and comfortably furnished. Private patios, small dogs welcome. Espiritu casita 'clean' no pets! Very easy walk to new railyard, farmers market and plaza areas. Fall is here, you can smell the green chile roasting and the pinon smoke wafting from chimneys. The crisp, beautiful, sweet cold air, painting the mountains hot gold swaths with red accents as the aspens change up the ski hill...simply beautiful! Book now to enjoy this annual march forward with us! It's also never to early to book the holiday you've always wanted in Santa Fe.
The room was well decorated, and comfortable. Very comfortable beds! We stayed in the midst of a snowy week, and the portable heaters in the room were greatly appreciated. We loved having all of the amenities of home while we were away. I found the room clean, but it was a bit worn- not in a germy uncomfortable way, but in a loved in/lived in kind of way. We'd certainly return and the rates are unbeatable!

Luxury Taos Lodging - Elegantly restored as a luxury vacation rental in historic Taos, New Mexico, Taos Territorial is perfectly suited for New Mexico weddings, family ski vacations, and romantic weekends.
All of our regular places were full for such a spontaneous get away. We found this little diamond after a lot of digging. We come out to Taos several times a year. I've found a new home base! This place is perfect for us. It's a great value as well! The décor is so inviting and well done. Feel fortunate if it's available, book it if it is.

What a wonderful, stylish hostess with the (ut-)mostest love of Papsan chairs! Great backyard hiking ("some" say "best hike in the country"....objective outsiders say "'maybe that's a stretch") The house is rustic and nice on a cute street but no amount of rustic can make up for that flacid shower head! Eooooeeee! ? ? ?? 2 Papasan chairs make up the living area (don't fall over, ya clumsy dum dums!) and there's no tv 2b found) but you can adequately hang out (2 ppl max) discussing the price of tourist kachinas and how bomb that Cowgirls flan is till that santa fe sun peeks its southwestern rays into your concrete cave. But alas, we still had a nice time in this very clean yet leaving-much-to-be-desired-in-the-ol-iving-room Zen River retreat! Ps. Go to Meow Wolf and check out the House of Eternal Return (?recommended but not necessary?!) to redeem yourself in your choice of vacationing in Santa Fe.

Burch Street Casitas is a beautiful five star destination. You will find authentic Southwestern style with the modern conveniences that you have come to expect, in all of our casitas. Centrally located in the heart of Taos, we are barely a mile away from Carson Nation Forest, close to downtown if you are looking for art classes and a short walk away from the Historic Plaza. Taos is also a hot spot of art, museums and southwestern cuisine, which are just a short distance away. We are also happy to help you plan outdoor adventures like rock climbing, skiing, rafting, and hot air ballooning or relax with a trip to the spa or a round of golf. Many people have not considered a casita when looking for a place to stay or a vacation rental in Taos; however, it is the perfect alternative to any hotel, inn, or bed and breakfast. Our casitas will offer you privacy, in a rejuvenating and mentally stimulating atmosphere. Enjoy the king size bed in every casita along with a wood burning fireplace and beautiful southwestern art, which are the makings of the perfect romantic get a way. You will not be disappointed when you choose Burch Street Casitas for your vacation destination.
Such a peaceful spot and so homey. I recently moved to Taos for a new job and stayed at Burch Street Casitas for 3 months! My mother and my aunt traveled out for a pre-move visit and when we walked into the Casita for the first time we knew it was the place. Jim and Nancy treated me like family and their genuine care and attention to detail is PRICELESS! If you are coming to Taos THIS IS THE PLACE! There just aren't enough adjectives to describe how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to stay at Burch Street Casitas. I have gained incredible life-long friends! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING! Shelley Unit B!

Enjoy the comforts of a home away from home with a brand new corporate rental home designed around an open-air courtyard water feature and outdoor living spaces. Each suite is fully furnished and offers a living room with 50" TV, 2 spacious bedrooms with 40" TV's, 2 bathrooms with walk-in showers, a full size, fully equipped kitchen, dining table and a laundry room with washer and dryer.
Okay, this is not a hotel. It is a condo. There is no maid service or free breakfast. But if you can manage to snag a reservation you have lucked out. If you compare it to other first class hotels you are getting a real bargain. We stayed for a week earlier this month (September) and were pleasantly surprised. The space is huge! It is tastefully decorated and you have everything you need to house two couples with children. Two bedrooms with a king bed in each. Nice tiled bathrooms and quiet neighborhood. Full kitchen. There is a private courtyard with a fountain that is shared by 4 units. We are moving to Hobbs and this was a nice home base to manage things. Everything you need is close by. Super Walmart is just down the street as are numerous restaurants. I would give this 5 stars. No complaints (except for the 11 foot ceilings which are oppressive.)
