The Seychelles largest and main island, Mahe is home to the capital of Victoria and about 70,000 people (almost 90% of the nation's total). Still, the island retains its idyllic beauty, with 3,000-foot mountains and scores of gorgeous beaches. Many plants, including the so-called Jellyfish Tree and several rare orchids, are unique to Mahe's shores. The Seychelles Natural History Museum, the Botanical Gardens and the Codevar Craft Centre, all in Victoria, are not to be missed.

Sailfish Beach Villas are set in a beautifully kept garden complex, planted with exotic palms, cinnamon, vanilla, hibiscus, and tropical fruits. The villas boast stunning views overlooking the calm, shallow waters of the bay of Anse a la Mouche and sleep up to five people each in two bedrooms. Anse a la Mouche is located at the south end of the main island of Mahe in the Seychelles. The villas are situated away from the noise and bustle of the capital of Victoria, yet within easy reach of local restaurants and quiet beaches with soft white sand and clear water - excellent for snorkeling. Each villa offers two large fully air-conditioned double bedrooms with king-size beds, fitted wardrobes and a dressing table. A baby cot is also available upon request. The lounge features a balcony with plenty of space for dining and some of the bedrooms also have their own balconies overlooking the bay. The kitchenettes in each villa vary in size but are all fully equipped with the essentials required for a self-catering holiday.
We stayed here on two occasions and were delighted with our stay. The apartments have a gorgeous view, are spacious and have everything you need for a great stay. Super clean too! Hugo is a great host and absolutely charming. He can arrange for you to be picked up at the airport for Euro 30 (only 20 minutes away). Better yet, he can arrange a car hire (as the villas are in the south of the island away from the Beau Vallon beach strip where you can walk to everything and taxis are expensive). There is no food served on the premises but the driver who picks you up at the airport will stop at a supermarket where you can stock up before arriving at the apartment. Hugo will give you the number of a family business that offers basic food (and fresh coconuts!) and delivers direct to your villa (delivery only from around noon.) WIFI is a bit slow as it is on most of the island. But we absolutely loved having a washing machine in our villa. Although the villas are on a hill, there is some noise from the traffic on there road below. If you are a light sleeper, therefore, it might be good to bring earplugs, although with the air conditioner on you won't hear much noise. We enjoyed our stay at Sailfish Villas and would happily stay here again.

I had fantastic time at Charlotte Villa. John and Salifa are super hosts helpful and professionals, I enjoyed my stay with them. John is fantastic chef the meal he prepared is delicious most try. The view is simply amazing and the beach is few minutes walk from the villa. A car is a most as the villa is located upon the hill, and restaurants are only few minutes drive away. Highly recommended this amazing villa!

Amazing hosts. We stayed with Harry and Febrona for two nights and was overwhelmed by their level of service. We stayed in the top floor apartment which had a beautiful view of the ocean and bbq/patteo area. The apartment was equipped with all kitchen utilities, very fast WiFi and two beautiful, clean, air conditioned rooms. Out of the three islands we visited during our time in Seychelles, this was without a doubt the best place we stayed. A special thanks to Harry and his wife for being so attentive to our needs and for showing us round this beautiful island. We was made to feel part of their family & we will be back!

Villa Caballero is barely a 10-minute drive from the Seychelles International airport and 20 minutes from the capital Victoria. It is strategically located, within easy reach of numerous attractions, restaurants and beaches. It is the perfect base for the exploration of Mahe Island with its network of roads. Each luxury chalet has an open plan bedroom with sitting room and open verandah.
Unbelievable experience! From a warm welcome with champagne and fruits to a private tour of Mahe island. Great service, lovely accommodation and friendly host! Perfect way to begin and end our honeymoon. Will definitely recommend!

WARNING! Please be warned NOT to go to this place!!! In all the years that I've been traveling to numerous places in this world, never have I ever experienced such a thing. These are really evil people managing this place. In fact, I would say that the "manager" is one of the worst people I've ever met in my life. My wife and I are usually very polite and peaceful, well-educated people, but I really must be careful not to use words here for this guy that would be inappropriate in public. "Hospitality" is certainly a word he has never heard of. Let me provide some details: first of all, the hotel has more than ridiculous policies, which are, admittedly, stated in the terms that they do send out. Even if I claim that no normal traveler would take the info "There is a deposit of 100 euros collected in cash upon arrival" serious to the point, I admit that it is written somewhere. For your understanding: it means that there is no (literally NO) way to handle the deposit via any credit card, any other currency apart from Euros (seriously, on the Seychelles!), or anything else that you offer. So after long travels to several countries, we just did not have Euros anymore, expecting this not to be a problem in 2022 in a country that does not use Euros. But without Euros in cash, no chance to check in. But what really left me speechless was the way that "manager" treated us. My wife and I arrived there in the evening, seeking for a few hours of sleep before going to the airport at 6 am (we had booked our stay much in advance). There was a major technical issue across the Seychelles on that day, leaving us (and anyone else) without internet or mobile phone connection. The place is isolated and we had all our luggage with us (a taxi had brought us there but obviously left in the meanwhile). We couldn't do anything, they didn't let us check in, we couldn't walk anywhere close with all our luggage and we couldn't call/arrange a taxi. So they understood that we were left without any options, but they just kicked us out! Indeed, you could really see how the guy enjoyed our desperate situation, not offering any kind of help (a phone call with his land line, a drive, a contact to a different place, whatever I asked him for - just nothing). He was just smiling arrogantly, telling us with his more than arrogant accent, "learn how to read the terms of your booking, my friend, it is easy". I am really proud of myself being capable of controling my desires in that situation, I am absolutely certain not everybody will be able to do so in the future (I leave the judgement to the reader about appropriate actions). Another quote from that guy, "Feel free to write a bad review, we've had so many of those, don't worry, we will always find people coming here." Wow, that's what they call "hospitality", right?! Please, do not support such a business. They should learn the very basics of hospitality and general kindness to human beings first, before offering their "service". I wish this business all the worst and I strongly hope they run out of business soon. Please support this natural evolutionary process by not booking a room there. They really do not deserve a single cent of your money and you will save yourself from perturbing your wonderful Seychelles memories with a similarly unfavorable last impression before going to the airport. (Fyi: I finally ran all the way down the hill and found very nice people at the airport, helping me find another place to stay for the night and arrange a taxi to go back and collect my wife and the luggage. So after several hours, at least we got some sleep.)

Great place to stay at with close proximity to several stunning beaches on the south side of the island. We stayed in a 2-bedroom villa for 3 nights. Everything about the property exceeded expectations. It is very well maintained and kept very clean.

Situated on top of a hill, with breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains, nature reserve, Indian Ocean and the beautiful Beau Vallon Bay, Petit Amour Villa is a spacious, privately-owned residence offering guests the rare opportunity of experiencing a secluded, luxury home in paradise.
The villa has amazing rooms, huge balconies and the most wonderful hosts. The breakfasts and dinners we had there were the best cuisine we tasted. The owners are the loveliest and most welcoming people we ever experienced. They are very kind, helpful and happy all the time. You can have a nice chat with them but they don’t bother you. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The food they provide is truly more delicious than in any restaurants. We didn’t even go to any of them because we were so satisfied. I really hope to stay there again soon! Our group really loved living there! Hope all the bests for them!

The room and the bed was pretty comfortable. Our room had a very nice balcony with great view which you could watch sunset. There are two beaches walking distance ( quite hilly though). The staff were super friendly and very helpful. It is a bit far from the airport but they arranged taxi at 5 am for us to arrive there on time ( it costs 50 euro) South of Mahe is nicer than its north and if you want to stay in the south, I totally recommend this place. The kitchen was very basic and it could be improved, beside the bathrooms were outdated.

Great views and Beach close by. The hotel is located on the hill and the beach is across the street. Tha suite was spacious, a great balcony and views were great. The breakfast was OK and staff is very Cooperative. The rooms are on a hill so if you have knee or back problems please be careful There is no drinking water available in the room, so have to buy it from the store and haul it up the hill
