The positive reviews are true about the stunning views but that was probably 1% of my experience. Only two staff members were available so it would explain why our room smelt old and had dust collecting in places. Even had a lot of dirt collecting above the mosquito nets. My advice? Inquire about available facilities and details before booking during this lockdown in Fiji because most of them are not available except for a room to sleep in and a place to eat. The Manager and her assistant isn’t really transparent with information regarding the hotel. A little note: The Manager does not take criticism well. Probably the only hotel/lodge where the Manager is always right and not the customer.

These villas are the best I have stayed in Fiji They are on top of the hill and the view over the ocean is sensational. High quality buildings and fitted out to self cater if you wish. On site meals are available (home cooking) and these need to be ordered a day in advance but can be made quickly if the ingredients are available in the kitchen. Down at the waters edge is Wananava Resort where meals can be purchased using cc however I highly recommend the on site meals. Rakiraki has a new market due to open soon and the Voli Voli resort nearby is worth a visit.Great venue well fitted out and the rates are reasonable. Well worth a visit..

Are you interested in a Fiji vacation where. There are more daylight hours than anywhere else on earth? You can hire a boat and visit many uninhabited islands. People dine out at restaurants in their bare feet? Every water sport and activity imaginable is all within a few minutes of your front door? And you'd like to do all this staying in accommodation that feels more like your own house than a hotel room or resort villa?
Our two families (including two 14 year olds) rented Reef house for one week in July. What a great place to stay. Mololo Lailai is a great place for active people as its large enough to go for a long walk/run and there are plenty of snorkelling/diving/water sports and cultural activities for everyone at nearby Musket cove. I recommend the family of 4 white card for activities. Reef house was our quiet escape. The house was clean, comfortable and very homey and in a beautiful location. The bikes were really helpful with 6 busy people doing triathlons around the island every day. Kitchen had everything you need to russle up basic quick meals if you want to cook - we only ate out once. There is a well stocked supermarket and we managed to get fresh fish on the island. Vukei is a wonderful housekeeper and we loved spending a little time with her. Recommend Reef house to a group who don't need a white sparkley kitchen, pool, tv, wifi from house, lots of people around and who are active.

Lilypond Bure_Adults Only Luxury self contained villa (one of two) on our property.
Our Pure Shores Resort experience began as we left the hustle and bustle of Savusavu Township on a scenic drive to the settlement of Sekawa. There’s a lookout point along the way to show you the beauty of Savusavu Bay and the township from whence you’ve come, and as we turned off the main road down to our new home away from home for the next few days, we could feel the serenity of the location seeping into us. Pure Shores is a boutique resort consisting of 2 indulgently self-contained open plan bures nestled in a “secret garden” like environment. Not water front, although the beach is a mere hop skip and a jump away, the gardens, which have obviously been a labour of love, seem to cocoon you and give you the privacy you want yet the space to explore. Swaying Coconut Palms, a variety of Helconia species and a lilypond with bright pink lily flowers greet you. Inside the bures the attention to detail in the décor, fixtures and fittings is stunning. Design talent is evident and top-quality appliances and furnishings have been used. Although the layout is the same, each bure is independently themed. Our bure was super clean, had provision for recycling, had every comfort from home, and then some! I was overawed by the amazing ceiling fans. Bucket list items in our own home! The bird life precluded the need for i-buds and made sure we had no need of the 55” TV! There was an endemic Orange Dove right outside my private deck area who wanted to engage in conversation, Kingfishers up high and those little red and black things darting about amongst the hibiscus, Kula Parrots flying between the towering palm trees and smaller colourful parrots flying across the pool area. The salt water pool has been designed for maximum water purity, is tastefully tiled and is temperature friendly, even in mid-winter. Landscaped between the two bures, the pool area can be a social hub if you so desire, we did, but the pool and decking are both also large enough for solo sun baking or dipping if that’s what you want. We were staying at Pure Shores for some R&R, but there’s a guest compendium full of local information about things to do, places to go, sights to see and experiences to be had. We were completely happy wandering about the garden, taking a long beach walk right to the mouth of the Nasekawa River snapping shots of the flora and fauna along the way and lounging in and beside the pool. If you want to get away from it all for a few days, or need a place to base yourself that doesn’t involve hustle and bustle this is the right place for you. Thanks Alwyn & Robert; we’ll be back!

As with most travellers going to Fiji you have to burn a night in Nadi before going to your final destination. Usually some budget type of accommodation is sort after. We decided to try a little resort that was reccommended to us by another fellow traveller and stayed at Fantasia. We called thier reservations number only to find out that they had one room available so we took it. Upon arrival it was like enetring the garden of Eden. The staff were polite and helpful and escorted us to our room......well let me say that when we went in the room it was larger than anything i had seen before. It was a HOUSE! two huge bedrooms and giant enterntaining area upstairs with balconies all around. super clean and decorated like a home away from home. The villa was on the creeks edge that was teaming with fish. The surrounding areas were immaculate and when we decided to explore this tiny resort we were certainly impressed. The gymnasium was world class and was managed by the former Mr Fiji (Ben). Ben doted on us and guided us through a workout program he designed which we fully intend on sticking to when we get back to sydney. Later in the evening we ate at the Yiamas Greek Tavern...i found that amusing..a Greek Tavern in Fiji. well although ammused we were amazed at the quality of the food. Greek cusine at its best and certainly the best in Fiji. A special thanks to ili our waitress who had a smile so big and made our night so pleasant. This is a small resort with about 5-6 rooms in total. It also seems to be a favorite spot for the local expats all with great stories to tell. Because of time restraints we didnt get to use the spa so i cant comment there. Perhaps our room was an overkill for just two people. Our villa would easily accommodate 6 people. For us we will definately be back and if they are booked out we will certainly be eating there again. Thanks guys for making just that one day special for us! Yiasou!

We rented all of the villas in this establishment for a family holiday. Overall the facility is very well maintained and has everything you could need! each villa had its own bbq (villa 1 had 2). The weather is extremely hot as one would expect and the lack of air con was a little hard to get use to at first, however as the days past opening the doors was more than enough. Villas 1 does have an air conditioner which means things so much more bearable during those extremely hot days. The villa's themselves are all very beautiful with Villas 1,2,3 all having great ocean views whilst villa 4 only had small views. We had a family group of 13 children running around the villas and everyone had the time of their lives. The beach is not really swimable unfortunately, as its like the rest of the coral coast mostly hard rock. We found it difficult for food choices in the area with shop and save being at sigatoka being our go to place for food, however the selection there was not fantastic and ended up driving to Nadi to get better food choices (for self cooking). Overall I would recommend the villas to any travellers and is a true gem.
