We stopped here without reading any reviews beforehand. Sometimes you can tell a great place just by the look of it. We were not disappointed. It was lunchtime and the trattoria was busy with locals and Italian tourists. Not much English spoken here (another good sign). My wife ordered a spicy tomato pasta, and I had pasta with onion and speck. That and a half litre of vino and the bill was only 25 euro. A nice deal. The food was fresh and nicely prepared. We both loved it. The gentleman who seated us and our waiter may have been father and son. Very friendly and hospitable. We were treated like locals. Since we daytripped to Pitigliano, this was the only ristorante we ate at, but when we visit again, we'll make sure to stop here again. Grazie mille La Pappalpomodoro! BTW...Pitigliano is a beautiful, ancient village. We loved it.

We managed to sneak in at last minute before midday closure. Initially the owner and waiters were a bit surprised, but since there were 3 more tables waiting for their food, they accept us. Nothing special, simply pastas with different adding's, but they were prepared great. Our main catalyst were kids, they were satisfied, so do we. They have great interior, it looks like narrow place, but there is plenty of room for maneuver. Kids loved the niche next to the main hall (it was sunny day), so they even organized themselves a playground while we were finishing our meal.

We only spent the one night in Pitigliano and on our walk into town we could have stopped at several nice looking restaurants but decided to head into the centre and found this one, so glad we did! We had not booked but managed to get a table for the two of us, it was busy and the staff very friendly & helpful. The wines were reasonably priced as was the food which was very good. I would recommend walking that little bit further to find this lovely restaurant.

Our lunch started off with a mixed bruschetta on slices larger than usual, very good. One of us had coniglio, the other anatra filet crusted with pistachio; both very well prepared. We also enjoyed the lightly-grilled pepperoni (bell peppers, not the little slices on a pizza), zucchine, and melanzane. With a half liter of house red a reasonable 53 euro. Service was very attentive.

I loved the lasagna bianca! The soups and salads were good, and each was substantial enough to serve as an entire meal. We had a funny misunderstanding when we asked for "due conti" because we were dining with another couple and wanted the bill split in two. It turns out that one of the appetizers is called "Il Conte," and the waitresses thought we wanted two of these. But it all turned out for the best, because when everyone finally understood what had happened, the waitress took one back to the kitchen and we thoroughly enjoyed the other "conte."

A friend of mine celebrate her wedding there and gave me all the best information aboutwhen we've been there, I felt a very normal low level restaurant, people there not concerned at all to customers and this kind of things, now I heard that owners took over back the place, so i think that experience should not be considered.Location is great, and view amazing

Enoteca con cucina. Orario da marzo ad ottobre: aperto il fine settimana. Si consiglia la prenotazione.
A brilliant find in the heart of Pitigliano. Great food and - perhaps most importantly for us on the day we visited - in a very shaded spot. Definitely recommended.

We went to dinner here twice. They didn't open until 7:30 p.m. at night, but we were there in March, the off-season. House wine good. Pasta good. Sides good. (Order the greens.) Secondi good. Desserts good. My friends had the lamb stew and the steak that first night and enjoyed it enough that we all went back for our last night in lovely Pitigliano and that last night we shared everything around. My pasta had ricotta and artichokes. My friend's had crispy leeks. Just delicious, all of it. Be aware that in Pitigliano, a small hillside town, people don't have the confidence in their English to speak much of it to you, so we had to fall back on my severely limited Italian, and their understanding of what we were trying to say. It all worked out. Loved my week there.

Awesome place to eat nice homemade foods and wines in a farm for Agriturismo. The place is located between Sorano and Pitigliano, so it's not too difficult to get there if you drive. Have fantastic dessert as well. ã½ã©ã¼ãã¨ããã£ãªã¢ã¼ãã®éã«ããã¢ã°ãªãã¼ãªãºã¢ãªè¾²åã¬ã¹ãã©ã³ããã¼ã ã¡ã¤ãã®ç¾å³ãããã¹ã«ã¼ãæçãã¯ã¤ã³ã楽ããã¾ãã2015å¹´8æã«è¡ãã¾ããããå¤ã§é£ã¹ãã¾ãããå¸ããã¯ç¾ã®éç§ãè¦ããããã±ã¼ã·ã§ã³ãæé«ã§ãããé£å¾ã®ãã«ãã§ï¼ãã¶ã¼ãï¼ã絶åãªã®ã§ãå¿ããªãã

We had to wait because the two empty tables outside were too small (? Only me and my friend). Three primi on the menu, one not available, so i chose his proposition proposition which was not on the menu: tortelli filled with tartuffo and ricotta. I got: plate full of lasagna blades, completely covered with ricotta cheese, some tartuffo on it. Tartuffo was not the famous one, but lookalike without taste, no herbs, i had to push away the pasta to throw away the "lake" of fat. My friend had kind of tagliatelle with cighiale and tomato sauce. We had to search for the meat because no taste and no color, meat was not wild boar, sauce was sour: i think they just had some leftover sauce, added some concentrated little tomato can. Owner told us proudly the cinghiale was just caught (july? Not the season,so he said illegally fresly caught in the woods, just like the fresh truffle which grew to full size in july after one day of little rain after six months no rain at all). The tagliatelle was not al dente, my pasta was over al dente. We asked sparkling water, got tepid water from the tap. The dishes were not very expensive, but tap water one euro? 1,5 per person coperto. But not tasty, fat,no meat, no cinghale, no tortelli, not the real tartuffo and ... i say no more... and i hate a restaurant owner lying!
