We stopped here for lunch. There appeared to be lots of locals here although they seemed to be set up for groups. Either way, we had an excellent meal. I had the spagetti with seafood and my wife had the spagetti with grouper. The service was excellent.

Great welcome, live oud music, nice candle lit chandeliers on the tables, varied menu with a multitude of cuisine options, excellent prompt service, exquisite food. We ordered couscous with lamb (huge portion), and Brik with tuna. They served us a complimentary starter of olives, green salad, and harissa with a bread basket, complimentary lentil soup, and complimentary tea with mint to top off our excellent meal. We couldnât finish our main dish and packed the rest to go. When the server knew we were egyptian, he got a small egyptian flag and put it on our table along with a Tunisian flag to welcome us :) definitely not our last time!

I was with friends with no reservation, the restaurant was full. However, the staff were very helpful and supportive. They offered us a table after 5 minutes. The service was very good and the food was tasty. We ordered many seafood dishes including their famous spaghetti with seafood and the lovely Tunisian wine. The fish is always fresh, and the prices are affordable. A very good experience. We enjoyed much. I encourage all to visit that nice restaurant.

A good option if you do not want to try the local flavours, and want to navigate in the safety of the known italian food, with some other dishes like omolette or a chicken breast/ steak. The food is average but cheap, and the service is friendly.

Dar Slah is a really charming little restaurant with typical genuine Tunisian food and rapid and efficient service. It is in the old city heart, in the souks, not far from the prime minister offices. His owner is a dedicated restaurant manager with a long experience and more over a passion and love for his role. He daily goes to the market in order to chose himself the premium and highly fresh quality ingrédients and then prepare the menu for his customers.

Chez Slah serves really excellent fresh fish and seafood. It is small and tucked away on Rue Pierre de Coubertin, close to the corner with Rue Mokta Attia. You must reserve in advance if you want a table. They open for dinner at 19.00. Traditional waiters in white shirts and black bow ties will advise on the best fish and seafood available each day. We had excellent brik and sautéed cuttlefish with garlic to start, followed by the best grilled tuna steak I've ever had. Very good with Tunisian white wines like Muscat de Kelibia or Ugni. Best to speak in French (the menu is also in French), but they also speak English. Two starters, two main courses and a bottle of wine cost us about 35 euros (115 dinars at the time). A must when you're in Tunis.

Before visiting, locals had already told me that Fondouk El Attarine is THE most authentic traditional food experience in Tunis.Getting there already takes you through the bustling Medina. The restaurant itself is a renovated guesthouse which for centuries used to host visiting traders. The main area is in the inner courtyard, the kind of which you find in most buildings in the Medina. Most items on the menu are Tunisian classics, such as lamb soup, brik (pastry with tuna), and various couscous dishes. Probably very similar to what has been served there throughout the centuries. The atmosphere is easy and unpretentious, waiters are very attentive, and the service is fast. This is one place to have one the checklist when exploring Tunis, and definitely one worth coming back to.

it is located within the Medina. Great location, a little bit small (it is better to get a reservation) but the food is really delicious. We tried felfel and white tajine....wow..... You can take dessert on the rooftop. Not expensive at all.
