Top 10 Traveler Resources in Sydney, New South Wales

October 17, 2021 Myesha Cogley

Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The marvelous Sydney Opera House looks like a great origami sailboat, floating peacefully in a harbor. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of The Rocks and then take in a street performance on the Circular Quay before heading into the Museum of Contemporary Art. The views from the Sydney Tower Eye observatory are epic – use this chance to get to know the layout of the city from high above.

The State library holds one of the nation’s richest collections of Oz art. Recently saw the fantastically curated 10 Works in Focus which highlights selected pictures to provide a greater understanding of the works on display. Loved the Beyond this colonial lense, a rare snapshot of the living culture of the Palawa ancestors.

Dropping in to the Visitor Information Centre was the best thing we could have done upon arriving in Sydney. Adam was incredibly helpful for everything from information on getting our cell phones set up, companies for car rentals, and arranging tours for our visit to Cairns. He was able to make all the arrangements for our two day trips, and gave us so much helpful information about a number of other areas. We would absolutely recommend dropping in to this centre for their help, service, and expertise.
