Lanier Theological Library

What an amazing building, library and gift to Houston. Thank you, Mr Lanier, for allowing us to visit and study there. No books may be taken out but the public”s welcome to go there and read them on site. It’s a gorgeous and welcoming library filled with thousands of books on theology and related subjects. They also house the largest collection of C. S. Lewis memorabilia in the country. The grounds are equally as beautiful, including a small chapel with gorgeous frescoes. One note to mention: you must go directly up to the main gate to enter and actually call the library. They will then open the gate and direct you to parking. Well worth a visit to this hidden gem.

What a beautiful time of the year to celebrate the holidays in Downtown Houston. The Alley Theatre is showcasing the Christmas Carol online, as well as the gorgeous Deck the Hall stunner in the windows of George R Brown Convention Center. As you stroll and look into the window, there are signs with a QR code and the name of the Christmas tree themed designers. It’s so hard to choose your favorite to vote for because they are all so wonderful. A lot of thought and creativity went into it. I truly had a great time since the weather cooperated and I didn’t need a jacket. There are bikes and scooters to rent. And ice skating at Discovery Green. The entire family will enjoy it.
