Just a few miles from the Slovak border in south central Poland, Zakopane is a resort town in the Tatra Mountains, popular with skiers in winter and with hikers and climbers year-round. In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Zakopane grew into Poland’s most visible art colony, a hotbed of culture ended by Soviet influence after World War II. Today it harkens back to an earlier time, complete with gorgeous wooden houses. Learn about these buildings and more at the Museum of Zakopane Style.

Myself and 10 others have just spent the week in Zakopane and Matti was our first and only choice of taxi! He was excellent, always on time and very easy to book. We used him so many times over the week and if he wasn’t able to help he arranged someone else to pick us up. He became like our own tour guide, recommending places to eat and things to do, making dinner reservations for us. Excellent service and such a nice guy! Thank you.

Taxi Bus Zakopane - why us? Why is it worth taking advantage of the taxi offer in Zakopane? Is taxi transport expensive? How to get around Zakopane? We have tried to briefly answer these and other questions in the text below Being in Zakopane and its surroundings, it is worth using the services of a taxi or bus. It is a great alternative to getting around with your own private car or public transport. Time, first of all. Our drivers know the topography of Zakopane and its surroundings very well, all shortcuts and detours. Traveling by taxi will save you from 10-45 minutes on average! The second important aspect is the availability of parking lots, which are especially difficult in the high season, they are also expensive. When traveling by a rented taxi or bus, you are able to save a lot of time and money, you do not have to worry about a parking space, you can relax with friends or relatives, knowing that your transport will be taken care of by our Taxi Bus Zakopane AllTour's team.

cable car to summit of Mt Kasprowy Wierch (1985m) Once there stand with one foot in Slovakia and one in Poland. Station at top has restaurant, ski shop, can post mail there also. Spectacular views if weather permits. Skiing in winter (when open) and hiking in summer.
We took a gamble visiting Zakopane in January from Krakow as the journey is over 2 hours and can take longer in the snow! Bargain bus fare of under £10 return and plenty of buses run from the bus station in Krakow. We arrived to find a lovely sunny, cold morning and fresh snowfall overnight. We took a small bus up to the cable car ( you can walk but it is quite a distance) We did not book the cable car in advance but it is advisable as this is so popular. We were soon travelling up the mountain with amazing views over Zakopane and the mountains. There is a cafe at the top and skiing/snowboarding facilities. We went on a short walk from the cable car and even crossed into Slovakia as the border is on the slopes. Fantastic day and we enjoyed watching the snow activities.

This small train takes you up to the top , it takes 5min and at the top you will see alot of restaurants and coffees and ice cream shops and potatoes and traditional cheese , and alot of children attractions and horses, sheeps. Alot of shops for i think more than 3 kilometers walking, I really recommended it especially for families. Price is normal and worth !
