Wandering the narrow caruggi alleyways of Genoa is a bit like solving a medieval labyrinth. In the heart of the Italian port city lies Piazza de Ferrari, a main square with a beautiful fountain and a perimeter lined with historic buildings, including the Palace of the Doges the Teatro Carlo Felice, which was destroyed during WWII and subsequently rebuilt. The seaside neighborhood of Boccadasse is vision of pink and yellow buildings that brighten up this lovely fishing village.

We do private tours in one of the most beautiful historical town worldwide! On board of our electric "TreeCyle" you will visit unusual places, far from the typical tourist circuits, in a maze of caruggi (alleys) unknown even to most Genoese themselves. A local "cyclo-driver" will be at your disposal for any need : he will tell you funny stories and anecdotes about Genoa and its inhabitants. The electrical engine of our vehicles allows us to climb the steepest hills sprawled in the historical town. Our tours are, on request, in italian, english, spanish, french, german, russian and portoguese !

We have been to Genoa many times, this was our first trip on the Funicular, the cost was 1.50 euro each, very reasonable. You purchase your ticket & validate it before getting on the Funicular, which runs every 15 to 20 minutes, at the top the views across Genoa are fantastic, definitely recommend.

My girlfriend organised this ferry service for us to take the 8pm departure from Napoli to Palermo on the overnight ferry. A few hours before we had to disembark we looked at some reviews and were honestly sickened by what could happen. After reading review after review of poor this, poor that and numerous “DO NOT BOOK” warnings we braced ourselves for what could be a horrendous journey. We got to the port way earlier than we should have and had to wait around for a while which was totally our fault. Do not get there too early if you choose to take this ferry. Once we had boarded and spoken with several friendly staff we were pleased to see that the ferry was relatively quiet and we had an abundance of space to sprawl out in. We chose the cheaper Pullman Seat option and did not take the cabin to save money. The ferry was delayed by 40 mins but we didn’t mind. We slept comfortably with little motion in the ship and woke to clear instructions of where to go to exit the ferry and can honestly say that there were no issues with our trip. If you can handle a slight smell of diesel from the ship you’ll be fine. We experienced no issues with our travel and find the poor reviews we have read laughable. Maybe we were lucky but we can’t complain. Would use again
