The Bay of Plenty (Māori: Te Moana-a-Toi) is a large bight in the northern coast of New Zealand's North Island. It stretches from the Coromandel Peninsula in the west to Cape Runaway in the east, a wide stretch of some 259 km of open coastline. The Bay of Plenty Region is situated around this body of water, also incorporating several large islands in the bay. The bay was named by James Cook after he noticed the abundant food supplies at several Māori villages there, in stark contrast to the earlier observations he had made in Poverty Bay.

Shuttle, bike hire, accommodation and camping right in the bush! We offer all you need to enjoy the mighty Motu Trails Cycleway. We are located within the same Forest Reserve and believe we have the best departure location for the Pakihi track and the Motu road trail(over two days). Bushaven borders the pristine Te Waiti stream and we have the Te Waiti track starting right at our gate.
My wife and two young daughters decided to cycle the Motu trail and from my wife ringing to ask about the tail to the end - the customer service from John & Ngaio was magnificent. The views on the Motu trail ride are outstanding and we did the 19km bike ride with stops in 3 and a bit hours. What we were blown away with was my bike (it had a little breakdown - these things happen) and after ringing John & Ngaio they came straight away with a new bike which was simply outstanding customer service (we were 7km out of town). They girls loved it and Ngaio even gave them certificates when we finished. A+++++

We did the Bushwalk and Snack Run trip. Met by, and taken on tour by Mel this was a great fun experience. Can thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone. We stopped to feed the chickens, stopped to walk a beautiful Kahikatea Tree Forest, had yummy Milo and fed a Weka while stopped in a little Bush Camp and then to the end of the line to turn around (great fun turning around!), and head back to the starting point. 2 to 4 persons per converted golf cart Easy for adults and teenagers to drive - no steering required ! We really loved it!

Our bus tour to the Hobbit film set was on a Royale Coachline bus. Our driver/guide Martin was a top class driver that we felt really safe with. His commentary was excellent given us some fantastic information during the tour. The bus was in a fantastic condition, comfortable seats and spotless clean. Highly recommend this company for bus tours.
