We had Mr Pema as the guide and Mr Tashi as the driver. They were wonderful. We brought our son 8+ old. Mr Prema engaged out son well, taught him good values and took care of all our comforts and safety. The company and their staff were punctual with all arrangements from pick up to the various meals. They listened and catered to customised requests if told in advance. The guide was Able to speak fluently in English and knows his history well. In all we were very satisfied ????

Bhutan Highlights Tour, in which you get to traverse for eight days through well-known places in Bhutan, such as the Gangtey Valley and the town of Trongsa. The tour starts in the colorful city of Paro and moves to the tiny capital of Bhutan, Thimphu. From here, it proceeds to the fertile valley of Punakha and then onto the lovely glacial valley of Phobijikha in Gangtey. The tour moves further still to the eastern side of Bhutan to Trongsa, from where you retrace your footsteps back to Paro while visiting the Haa Valley on the way. The best part of the tour is in the finale, when you get to visit the spectacular Taktsang Monastery, translates to meaning the Tiger's Nest, as is believed that the Guru Padmasambhava, is said to have flown here on the back of a tigress to meditate for three months somewhere in the 8th century AD. We enjoyed so much during our Bhutan Tour. This day trip to Taktsang Monastery was our highlight in Bhutan! We thought Bhutan is very cold and packed so much for a week holiday, but it is not as cold as we thought. Our guide Karma was phenomenal. He was incredibly knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and could tell that he loved what he was doing! I couldn’t Happiness Drukyul Holiday enough! It was a great way to immerse ourselves in the Bhutanese culture.

I visited Bhutan through this company in early March 2020. Mr. Phuntsho of the company had been very prompt and helpful in organizing the trip. He kept the itinerary flexible which allowed me to spend more time at places I loved. I did not have any issues right from the planning of the trip until I left the country. My guide and the drive were a very friendly and I must say they really made my trip one of the best. I highly recommend Bhutan Acorn!

Best birding, wildlife and cultural tour in Bhutan. Bhutan is a small country nestled in Eastern Himalayas - a land of rhododendron forests, stunning panoramas and friendly Buddhist culture. Bird watching in Bhutan is a sublime experience. Towns are very small and surrounded by untouched forests. There is very little traffic and the roads provide excellent opportunities to walk through what are surely the best-preserved forests anywhere in the Himalayas. On this trip we will see some 350 different birds, 12-15 mammal species and an amazing variety of butterflies and flowers. There will also be time to see the amazing architecture, visit dzong’s, which blend the role of both fortress and monastery, and meet the friendly Bhutanese people. Overall, experience the unique culture of Bhutan, expanding your interests but not compromising your main objectives! This itinerary has been designed to see the best of Bhutan, with a minimum of long-distance driving, and removing the need for camp.

The Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan "known as the peaceful Dragon country" is slowly emerging from centuries of self imposed isolation, this makes Bhutan a truly unique destination to explore its hidden treasure of ancient culture, religion, architecture and its way of life as it was for centuries, so Bhutan's past is still its present and tantric Buddhism is a way of life.

I booked the 60 minute paraglide with this company, when I arrived the next morning I was told that due to the weather I could only do a 30 minute paraglide but would be refunded the difference when I got back to the shop, my actual paraglide was 15-20 minutes which the pilot explained when we got back to the shop. It turned out this company wasn’t based in Pokhara an had paid a cheaper company to do the excursion, the company I had booked with had told the company I went with that they would refund the difference initially and so they had passed that message on. I was very shocked to learn when I got back that I had not flown with the company I had just paid £120 pounds too, and the women I had spoke to wasn’t the manager and couldn’t do anything for me, she called the manger of the original company who then came to the shop and shouted at me and other members of staff, I actually felt so sorry for the company I had flown with and wish I could have took the money from this horrible company and paid it directly to the company I flew with, the manger of the company I flew with apologised and wrote a letter to explain how short my time was in hope I could get the money back from tripadvisor, the manger of the company I booked with then tried to rip this up. Please don’t waste your time with this company, go directly to the shops in Pokhara for a good experience, this was sadly the worst day I had In Pokhara when every other day was amazing.

Booking the entire tour through Druk Asia was very convenient. Each of my enquiry was replied via email within 24 hours. E-tickets and visa was also send via email with no need for us to go to the office, which reduced much hassle. We had a fantastic time exploring the various attractions. The natural scenery and architecture was awe-inspiring. The key highlights of our trip was the very pleasant Phobjikha nature hike in Gangtey and the challenging but must do Tiger Nest hike. But what got us captivated was seeing the snow-capped Himalayan mountain range at Lawa La Pass. No words could describe our emotions, it was simply breathless!! Our guide Kinley Dendup was very professional and knowledgeable in sharing with us all the stories and details of each attraction. Not forgetting our driver Phrupa who tirelessly drove us from one place to another safely. Their friendliness made us feel we were on holiday with friends and not just as guide and driver. Would definitely recommend Druk Asia as the to go agent to my friends for their trip to Bhutan.

What to say about this tour! To begin with it took less than 24 hours to realise that the activities our travel company had promised in the brochure did not match the activities listed by Stray. Although this was probably an advertising fault with our tour company (STA Travel - I HIGHLY recommend not booking with them) the Stray representative refused to assist us with the issue claiming he was not a ‘Stray representative’ even though he was literally wearing a Stray t-shirt! The Thailand leg of the trip is utterly pointless as you barely see any of the country, and there are basically no activities payed for by Stray so I really have no idea what we payed for. Laos was much improved, we had two different tour guides throughout our days there who were both brilliant and the activities were really good. We had a good sized group as well which helped! Cambodia however was by far the worst part of the trip. The perhaps main reason for this was our tour guide was extremely weird and made us all feel very uncomfortable. He made a lot of sexual jokes which weren’t funny, he would make inappropriate remarks and also get drunk and act very strangely around us all. There were only 3 of us for most of the Cambodia leg (all guys), however when some females did join, as you can imagine he made more uncomfortable remarks. Considering I’ve heard from other travellers that Cambodia is their favourite place they’ve traveled, I believe Stray did the country a huge disservice as the route round the country made no sense, we hardly got to see any of the beautiful country and spent almost half the tour at the same Hostel in Siem Reap with nothing to do. Also I’d heard so much about the delicious (and cheap) street food Cambodia offered however not once did we go to any such place and instead were pressured to go (by our guide) to places which were more costly and coincidently our guide would get a free meal for taking us there! The final leg of the tour was Vietnam which we didn’t get to go to as the borders had closed due to the pandemic. Although of course, this could not be helped, our Cambodian guide did not sufficiently keep us informed on what was going on and when we inevitably asked the question “now what?” we were never given a helpful answer, and were essentially abandoned once the Cambodia leg of the tour was over. Overall, the tour was mostly awful. Before this tour started, me and my friend who I was travelling with went on a Trutravels Sri Lanka tour which was absolutely brilliant. This was mostly down to our guide who I felt really wanted to show us the best parts of his country and give us the best time possible and wasn’t trying to squeeze as much money from us as he could. This was similar to the Laos part of the tour, in which I truly felt the tour guides wanted us to have a great time (an example was one of them set up a football game for us to play against the locals which was amazing). However this trip was wildly inconsistent as the Thailand leg was utterly pointless, and the Cambodia leg was uncomfortable and massively underwhelming. And of course the part that will leave a bitter taste in my mouth will be how we were essentially left stranded in Cambodia without any real help or advice from Stray. Considering we payed for the most expensive package, I truly have no idea what that money went towards for most of the trip, particularly some of the accommodation. I don’t recommend stray at all.
