This was such an incredible tour, I can't recommend it highly enough. Craig is an amazing guide. He is extremely knowledgeable on the local areas plus very entertaining with a great sense of humour. We had a sensational lunch on the beach, saw great sea life including turtles plus kangaroos as we drove off the beach. The beach drive, coloured sands, Rainbow Beach, Double Island Point it's hard to choose which was the best bit. It was a truly incredible day.

Meeting your friendly local guide at the lake edge, you'll hear stories of natural environment, flora, fauna, fires and floods (and some surprising local history!) as we wander lakeside with binoculars handy for a closer look at the abundant birdlife. Kangaroo sightings are highly likely on this walk, and lakeside is where we're most likely to see them. You might also see stingrays and fish from the lake edge. Next, via a boardwalk through the bush, you'll visit three fabulously placed look-outs with stunning vistas of lake and coast, before emerging on beautiful Conjola beach. Walks along the sea shore vary seasonally. You might see whales, dolphins, endangered beach-nesting birds (or surfers catching a break off Green Island). Walking back to the lake over the sand dunes, the tour finishes at the Boat Ramp. Your Guide will escort you back to the tour starting point - or you might want to dive straight into the lake for a swim!

Our organisation wanted to give back to the communities affected by the awful fires that occurred in early 2020. What better way than joining Conjola Tours to explore this corner of paradise and learn about both the local history and ecology of the area. They were so accommodating, keeping not only a group of adults interested but engaging with three children in the party, one of who had a disability. If you are after a leisurely stroll and want to learn a bit more about this area this is a great option. I also encourage everyone to support the numerous small businesses in this area that need our support, even more since the double hit of fires and travel restrictions.

Explore a little deeper below the surface of the Derwent Valley’s idyllic countryside and you might find yourself catching a glimpse of our not so shy but still very wild local resident; the platypus. You’ll cruise through the sparkling waters and past the white sandy beaches of the Jervis Bay Marin Park in search of these gentle giants of the sea. From May to November whales in increasing numbers can be found along the NSW coast on their annual migration, and during the months of October and November mothers and calves even enter Jervis Bay for a number of days to rest and bond with their young before continuing on the massive journey back to Antarctica.

What a wonderful experience. Anthony and glad were great at their job. They were friendly and helpful and ensured everyone had fun. The boat was clean and tidy. Saw lots of dolphins who joined in the fun showing off their skills. Would certainly recommend this company. The photo on board was also very friendly and would of got lots of great shots. I’ll be booking with this company for the whale watching tour.
