Really great time with Alex the tour guide, Luis Manuel our driver and Sarafin the Paparazzi photographer. So much fun. Make sure you are in fairly good shape to do this. Lots of walking and climbing stairs. Highly recommend this tour.
The tour goes to San Francisco de Macoris where you will visit the "Sendero de Cacao". In the cacao plantation Hacienda La Esmeralda which supplies world-famous chocolate factories, you will have the unique opportunity to experience everything from the cacao bean to the chocolate processing. Of course, a cacao and chocolate tasting are part of the program. A typical lunch will be served during the tour. Afterwards, the tour continues to Tamboril, where you will visit a cigar factory and learn all about tobacco processing. For several years now, the Dominican Republic has passed Cuba in the cultivation and processing of tobacco.

We only had a half day to spend in Santo Domingo and wanted a quick overview of the attractions. Dom Rep Tours fulfilled and surpassed our expectations by far. Staff is extremely friendly, very informed and professional. It was very hot and the guide knew how to still make the tour as enjoyable and cool - in every sense - as possible. We'll definitely be back for more.

Had a great experience with Laura taking me around town, she was super helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to take some great street photography of some of the the iconic areas of Santiago de los Caballeros and by the end of the tour we went to a "Colmado" where we could chill Dominican Style and have a refreshment. I've recommended Laura's tour to my friends and looking forward to other ones she may have in the future for when I come back to visit the country.

We will meet in the Heart of Santiago (it is a heart-shaped sculpture that is located around the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration, av. France with Calle del Sol) and from there we will visit Los Pepines, we will take a walking tour for its murals. Los Pepines is a sector rich in vernacular architecture, some of whose specimens have been valued and today they are part of its attractions, and it also protects businesses that They constitute traditional places of the city. He has also seen the birth of national and international renowned figures such as Piro Valerio and Johnny Pacheco. As a local, I would love to show you this amazing neighborhood in my own way. You will also have enough time to take pictures while I comment on the historical and cultural significance of the neighborhood. The murals have stories to tell and messages to share with the community and the world.
