Sean was awesomely the best of the bestest - very highly recommended!!! We toured Valparaiso and Vina del Mar with him, and he dropped us off at Santiago for our cruise embarkation the following day. That was our first trip to South America - our pre-cruise tour, as we cruised Chile, Antarctica, Falkland Islands, Argentina, Uruguay - still so many places to explore in this area. We will definitely come back, and use Sean's company again...

We booked a trip on line from home before even venturing to Chile. But Mike was there to pick us up exactly as planned months before and took us on a really interesting day out. He knows his wine and he likes to share his knowledge, but he is definitely NOT a wine bore. The whole day was just such good fun.

Had a marvelous experience with CWL touring and tasting the Casblanca and Acongagua regions as well as touring Valpariaso back in 2012. Two days of great wines and guides. This visit we organized with Mauricio a customized wine and food tasting agenda in the Colchagua Valley. CWL is building a spectacular lodge hanging off a cliff at the entrance to the Apalta part of Colchagua. On the first evening Mauricio designed and cooked a private dinner with wine pairings in the dining and tasting area of the new lodge. On Day 2 we tour Maturana. He's organized not just a tour but a sitdown with family members over wine and an incredible food platter. We lunch with wine pairings at the beautiful restaurant at Viu Manent before climbing the walls of the valley for a high end taste at Ventisquero Winery. In the evening Mauricio and Claudio (driver) show us to Vina Playa for dinner; a very full day. Day 3 begins at Neyen followed by a private tasting amid the Gregorian chants of Montes' exquisite barrel cellar. After an extraordinary lunch at Fuegos de Apalta, we cried uncle. We cancelled the afternoon winery. Our final evening was another fine dinner cooked and organized by Mauricio and his staff. Wine pairings were excellent and following dinner we sampled from Mauricio's private cellar. d'Vino, his new lodge, will consist of four rooms and two private cottages when completed but his tasting, dining and kitchen area are open. CWL makes you feel like family and we highly recommend them and look forward to returning when the lodge is completed.

Enjoyed the scenery, and culture within the community. It missed out on the 4 star review because the hygiene and service could be improved drastically. To further enhance improvements, I would recommend that this is fit for a family of 4, as it depends on your tour. The tour around the city is spetacular, but the wine tours need to be further enhanced. Anyways, I enjoyed most of the experience.

We took this tour last year. The guide doesn’t speak English at all, and keep repeating the same information over and over. They also don’t let you move and ask you to be next to them all the time. Amazing place but awful guide
Our tour consists of visiting two or three vineyards of your choice; Lapostolle is a vineyard of French tradition located on one of the slopes of the Apalta Valley. It was founded by Alexandra Marnier and Cyril de Bournet in 1994 and since its existence it has been characterized by its exclusivity. For its part, Montes vineyard is one of the most modern in the valley. Famous for the design of angels on their bottles, their wines are made to enchant the spirit. Viu Manent, meanwhile, has varied activities, ranging from horseback riding to participating in the harvest season. Without doubt, it is an enotouristic center, of which its restaurant, Rayuela Wine & Grill, stands out and has received the Certificate of Excellence on Tripadvisor for four consecutive years. Finally, another vineyard we recommend to visit is Casas Silva, which has the oldest winery in Colchagua. We invite you to delight in its surroundings and to taste its premium category wines, beside the polo field.

On a Sunday night our concierge at the Hotel Magnolia made a call to Hernan at American Fun Travel. They set up a private tour at Casa del Bosque and lunch overlooking the ocean at Castillo del Mar. Hernan made so easy, we climbed into the private car and just sat back and enjoyed. If you are in Santiago and you are going to do a private tour this is the company to use,

We had to get a taxi to find the address we wanted but true to the description we were emailed we found a black gate with an entry buzzer to gain entry. Balthazar was our guide for the day and once we were fitted out with some excellent bikes we were off just the 3 of use which was perfect as Balthazar really looked after us. For a very young age he was very knowledgable and his English was excellent. He took us to all the main sights and attractions telling us about things as we stopped to take it all in. I would highly recommend using this tour company
Be a distinguished protagonist of one of the most exclusive wine experiences in Chile while visiting 2 of the most awarded Chilean wineries worldwide, and discover why Colchagua Valley is considered to be the birthplace of Chile´s iconic wines. Located 150 kms from Santiago, we will start our tour visiting Lapostolle Winery, where Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband decided to create a world-class wine project back in 1994. Their work has been acknowledged with great achievements such as their Clos Apalta, recognized in more than two occasions as the Chile´s best icon wine, and its 2004 vine stock as the "best in the world according to WineSpectator (2008)", and 5th place among 16,000 wines for their 2014 strain in the 2017 list... surely a must experience. After wine tasting in a spectacular underground winery in Viña Lapostolle, we will head to Montes Winery, owned by the so-called "Mr. Chilean Wine”, Aurelio Montes. This spectacular and imposing winery is located in a beautiful territory which you can explore in an ingenious guided tour on the slopes of the hills that surround this exclusive sub-valley called Apalta. While in Montes Winery, you can´t miss the opportunity to have lunch at the famous Fuegos de Apalta restaurant, lead by the world-acclaimed chef Francis Mellman, an expert hand on meats, finishing off this entire wine experience that you will surely remember forever. Rely on our specialized guides that will take you to Colchagua Valley Experience.

We of course enjoyed the spectacular scenery of the rugged, snow covered mountains and the flat, green valleys, but what made the trek particularly enjoyable was our guide, Esteban, who had extensive knowledge of the geology and the wildlife, as well as the history of the region. He spent most of the time talking, either answering our questions or just explaining the things we were seeing. It was like a National Geographic tour. And although, sadly, the air was still and therefore we did not see any condors, we were very happy with the trek.

Moritz and Jenna gave us a fabulous visit to the Santa Cruz region. Tours were organised in advance that were just what we asked for. We visited two wineries with tastings and had dinner at a traditional Chilean restaurant. We hired bikes, an activity we haven’t done for 30 years and our hosts pointed us to a calm surfaced flat road through vineyards and farmland. Very beautiful. Moritz was kind enough to assist when the muscles seized. Thanks Moritz, a wife saver! At Casa Suiza, the bed is comfortable and the facility spotless. We met some interesting folk from across the globe. Thanks for a great stay.
