My friend and I did the 4-days trek to go up to the Tolima and it was an amazing life experience full of emotions. Such and adventure was only possible due to the Quimbaya’s trail agency, namely Santiago and the guide Andrés that accompanied us throughout the whole journey and did anything they could to make us happy. Thanks again from both of us.

We booked a 3 hour horseriding trip with these people and everything seemed nice in the beginning - The animals look healthy and the people there are relatively friendly. We mentioned a couple of times that my boyfriend is a complete beginner and they assured us, that that won't be a problem. So on the day of our tour we arrived and got our guide who was a young boy not speaking a word of english. The horse of my boyfriend was really fiery and nervous so that the 5 five minutes for him trotting through town where really stressful and not really safe already. But after that "the real fun" began: The guide told us that we have to go down a path down the mountain which is a bit complicated but that was the biggest understatement: We entered a kind of slope downhill which was almost too narrow for one horse, really steep, slippery and full of rocks. The worst part is that there are walls on both sides of the slopes so there is literally no way of adjusting the path. Our horses where clearly terrified to go down there (we were too) but they were even more afraid of our guide behind us with the whip so they went down. It took us 30 minutes to go down with our horses stumbling, almost falling a couple of times and sliding through this horror-slope. And remember it was really steep too. After that we went onto a street where the horses finally relaxed a bit. But the the guide came from behind and tried to whip them to "spice things up". That's when the already nervous horse of my boyfriend (remember: he never before sat on a horse) started rearing. And that was the moment when we stopped the tour. We handed the guide the horses (which I really didn't want to do knowing that they were so afraid of him) and continued our way by foot. I am still horrified how you could do something like this to the horses - Beeing in this slope with no way out for such a long time much be the most terrifying thing for these timid flight animals - and is was absolutely terrifying for us too.

You will see and learn, first hand, how we grow our coffee, harvest it, process it and make it ready for our customers. We will also introduce you to how we implement ancestral methods, reforestation and permaculture design to produce exotic coffee, without chemicals and that contributes to the biodiversity of our beautiful land. A must do when you are in salento. This coffee tour is exceptional and will surely be different than most/all of the others in the region. The owner is very passionate about his coffee, and has managed to rebuild the coffee plantation in four years in a completely organic way. He now has a successful plantation by mostly going back to how it was done in the past. Very informative and entertaining tour. My husband managed to stay interested for the entire duration (we took the three hour tour, but in the end it was almost four hours due to all of our questions), which is a very rare occurrence :) Honestly we couldn’t recommend this more !
