Did this trip with my wife on 14 October where she was hoping to see some whales, - and yes, we did. This was a great trip, from the driver who picked us up, to Capt. John & our guide Joan. John was in contact with other boats and headed for sightings, while Joan was able to explain how she can recognize specific whales from their marking. She it was better seeing humpbacks as they were more graceful out and back in the water, whereas killers were out and straight back in, before you have a chance to catch them. Got some good pictures scanning where you saw the last whale, when suddenly 2 came up quite close to the boat, - of course I didn’t get a picture – it was like a Jaws moment. It was a great day and had good weather, so would definitely do this again, and is highly recommended thanks to the crew at VWW. We were picked up in the centre of Vancouver, so didn't have to find our own way to some of the other destinations these trips leave from. If I could make one improvement: This is a 5-hour trip from pick-up to drop off sailing from Steveston Village. This is a nice little place, but on return there was just about enough time to grab a quick coffee before getting back on the bus. So, unless the driver had to rush back to Vancouver to wind up the Steam Clock, it would have been nice to have a couple of hours to explore the village which is bigger than it looks. A great day. Granola bars and water given to all - thanks again VWW - apologises for the late review.

Holy cow! The Plaza Premium on the International side was worse than atrocious! Paricularly in this climate of corona virus, i have never seen such a dirty lounge: food on the carpet, glasses, plates and napkins literally piled on the tables. The food was old looking and dry. The hygiene of the bartender frightening. We got our drinks, and left them. What is up with that? It was like the staff had given up! Ya, we pay for this. Give up your membership!
