Paradise cave is the longest dry cave in Asia (located in Phong Nha – Ke bang National Park’s core zone. With naturally primitive features, Paradise Cave looks like a landscape painting; making it a natural wonder that many have enjoyed since its opening in 2010. There are a series of white crystal stalactites (limestone deposits) resembling natural pillars and many other spectacular formations. The Dark cave is an adventurous and action-packed experience. Visiting this cave includes harnessed zip lining over a turquoise river, swimming into the mouth of the cave (lifejackets included), walking through the dark with only the head torch on your mining helmet to illuminate the way, having a mud fight in the buoyant mud baths deep in the cave, washing clean with a swim in the lake inside the cave, then kayaking back across the river to test your strength on the hanging obstacle course and open ziplines. The 1st km was not impressive. Too much artificial lighting. Too many people who do not truly appreciate nature and understand the value of what they are experiencing. The wonder started the moment you left the wooden walkway onto the cave platform, and walk for another 6km into the dark. We took the tour at the end of May. We had to wear protective helmets. The cave was huge and cool, decorated with stalactites and stalagmites of various sizes and shapes. Once we turned off all the lights and stood in absolute darkness and silence to experience the sounds inside the cave. We swam across a little stream. The water was refreshing. We did some rock climbing. Not dangerous at all, just kind of adding spices to the walk. At the end of the cave, the cave opened and let a stream of sunshine pour in. The tour guides brought lunch for us. The grilled chicken was so yummy. It was a marvelous trip. We highly recommend this tour.

Reachable by train or car through Dong Hoi city, it is place to natural scenic wonders and home to friendly locals. The jungle, the river, the cascades, the single trails and the narrow winding concrete roads are making the spot a paradise for any active traveler in research of fun. Adding to this the beauty of the sceneries, the biggest caves in the world’s region and a simple but nice little lodge, and you get a must-visit spot for your journey across Vietnam.

I booked a bike trip with this company. everyone but me had cancelled and yet the company said nothing to me. I then had to cancel after I arrived in Vietnam....due to covid....and the company ghosted me. I have emailed many times while I was stuck in Vietnam and once home. They have never replied. No refund, no credit no email to help me while I was there and no email once home and time has passed. Terrible customer service and no interest in their customers at all.

Our guide (Bo?) was very nice and friendly. We went to a lacquer art factory and gallery that employs people affected by agent orange and the many details and painstaking steps it takes to make the beautiful pieces. If you want to buy a small picture or piece, make sure to bring between 500k or 1mil dong. We were told 60% goes to the the workers. The tunnels and bunkers were super interesting and we had the opportunity to go in them and really experience and start to understand what it must have been like for the people who used them. There were lots of displays and demonstrations on how clothing, shoes, food and such was prepared as well. Lunch was in a nice location with interesting and tasty Vietnamese dishes. These were by far our favorite parts of the trip. We also took a boat to an island on the Mekong. We saw bee keeping, singing, and fruit gardens on the island. Each station and place to visit has something to sell or tips to give. So if interested, just make sure you have enough small bills and dong. Possibly even 500k more. We did not realize all the extra, so started to run out of cash dong towards the end of the trip. Overall the trip was nice and the Cu Chi tunnels are definitely a highlight of the tour!
