The experience "Cheese factory tour with Apulian delicacies tasting" is hosted in an ancient farm built in the 1800s and surrounded by a regional nature reserve. In this natural oasis located in Valle d’Itria, in the very heart of Puglia, you will learn how high quality local products are grown and processed: the farm is in fact specialised in the production of fresh and seasoned cheese, of local cold cuts such as the renowned Capocollo from Martina Franca and in the wheat cultivation. The tour ends with a rich tasting of cheese and cold cuts produced in the farm and served with bakery products and Apulian wine: local delicacies that you can taste in a dedicated inner room or outside, if it is warm. You will be surrounded by a rural atmosphere that only in Puglia is to be found.

My friend and I hired bikes from Damiano at ebike Puglia for a nine-day tour around the 'heel' of the 'boot' of Italy. We had a rocking adventure on great bikes. We had no technical bicycle trouble at all. (The panniers came loose a couple of times - nothing that a cable-tie couldn't sort out) Damiano provided us with Teasi GPS systems on our handle bars- highly recommended for seamless navigation along beautiful remote, quiet bike-friendly roads. The bikes are top quality and brand new. We were provided with all the extras like locks, lube, tubes and tools. The service was personal and excellent. Martina Franca is a great starting point for a trip in this region. Highly recommended outfit.

I couldn’t put correct date on this review - I did this tour with my two children in August 2019 and originally posted it then. I have had a message to say that I had posted it under the wrong company (one with a very similar name). I would like to re-post the review as we had such a brilliant day with our guide and would like to recommend the tour company to others whenever this type of activity goes ahead again! Our guide Ms Ivanova was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour took in many places around the city and we also visited the Uffizi in the afternoon. I was with my children aged 6 and 9 and both really enjoyed this day. They felt included and learned a lot. The guide met us at the times planned and gave plenty of opportunities for questions and were able to answer any queries. Everything was organised well and went smoothly. We were unable to book a tour inside the Duomo but actually this one which took us all the way around the outside and to other fascinating parts of the city was perfect for my family.
