Absolutely the best day I had while visiting Italy. Angel was our guide for the entire day. At the first winery we had the pleasure of starting the visit with a tour of the vineyard in a horse-drawn cart, followed by a fantastic lunch with km0 products. Visit to the village of Suvereto and finish with more wine in a family winery where they create one of the most appreciated wines in Italy. I can say with certainty that this day was one of, if not the best day of our vacation in Tuscany.

Alessandro had a few reviews on his listing on Airbnb which had us skeptical about taking this experience but we were relieved once we met him in person and the actual tour turned out awesome. Me and my wife were the only participants (given it was an early morning tour, not many would sign up I guess) The streets of Florence was quiet and peaceful and Alessandro started the tour with giving us a basic but thorough run through of the gear and safety. He was pretty knowledgeable on these and the path we were about to embark. We shared personal stories from both sides and we can definitely recommend him and his Inspiring Tours to anyone looking to undertake tours in Florence given that he loves what he does.

We did a classic wine tour here, really wasn’t worth it. We paid 20 euro per person, got a quick tour of the building and cellar, and tasted three wines afterwards. Wines were poured in the same glass, and we got little to no explanation with them, no water, bread, hospitality very low, we didn’t even get to taste the olive oil... we felt a little scammed honoustly, they were quick to collect our 40 euro and send us on our way. We’ve had so many great wine experiences in tuscany, I highly recommend you don’t waste your time and money on this one!

Booked this through a bucket shop broker for a cheap price, checked all of the details before booking and realised that we were in the depths of the Tuscan countryside staying at a working vineyard. After negotiating the Italian network of country lanes and driving skills we arrived at exactly what we expected - a working vineyard in the depths of theTuscan countryside. Check in was easy enough, our Brazilian host and my ineffective Italian got us to our simple, spotless room. It lacked drink making facilities but nothing else that we desperately needed. We got over this hardship by asking for a pot of hot water and two cups from reception whenever we wanted a cup of tea. We booked our dinner on the first night in the restaurant, spectacular views, chilly when the wind blew. Some people opted to eat in the bar area. The food promised a lot but unfortunately didn’t quite deliver, kitchen to table was less than 5 metres but lukewarm on arrival. Choice was limited for a non meat eater. Breakfast was a simple affair, meat, cheese, pastries and a few other bits and bobs just what you’d expect from a simple B&B in the Tuscan countryside. However the coffee was disappointing bearing in mind where we were! Couldn’t believe that the coffee machine took pods!! Wine tour very good and informative, the history is what makes this place. Tastings after very well received. A car is a must to get around, the weather was not great but didn’t limit our trips out to Sienna, SanGimignano and other local ‘hotspots’. Florence best visited by parking car at Signa and getting train - 20 mins and £2 each way Couple of small Italian restaurants at bottom of hill, but you are isolated so don’t expect a walk into a buzzing town. Simple Italian fayre - inexpensive pizza, pasta and drinks. Facilities limited and swimming pool area could be better, but overriding opinion is that the now well heeled estate owners have let the estates charm fall by the wayside. It wouldn’t take much to get the main villa and gardens up to become the focal point of your visit. Overall it is what we expected but wouldn’t take much to really hit the spot!

There is no other Tour Guide!! Marco is fantastic, Our 2 children bonded immediately with Marco who had them interested the entire evening. Parents if you book a Tour for kids you will enjoy your evening in Rome. Marco speaks perfect English explains everything and answers all your questions. He is very informative and gets you around to cover as much as you can in your time but doesn't cut corners. The Pizza and Gelato were amazing. We did 2 Tours with Marco and we didn't miss out on anything. The private tour is the way to go, you get more time and the best vantage spots come from Marco's local knowledge. Communication was great we even agreed to meet a little earlier and we were able to access the Pantheon right on dusk (with a little of Marco's charm) which was a great experience. Don't book anywhere else!!

Thankfully it did not last too long and we were able to enjoy the passion for Lucca that Davide shared with us as we strolled around the walled township. We couldn't help feeling like we wanted our tour to continue as David filled our imaginations with his story telling and making the city come alive for us.

We loved the hot springs and the setting along a river in the woods and found a small pool at a perfect temeperature for a long soak. The wine tasting at a small family vineyard was a pleasant way to round out the day and a nice introduction to the wines of Montalcino. Matteo was and excellent guide and driver - we enjoyed his insights into the countyside and hid frindly and professional manner. Highly recommended.
